I forgot to say... Starship Troopers (also so not happening)

Thunderbirds could be a great theme though.

That said, I'm summing up a lot of stuff, but I naturally like Lego's own themes as well. Galaxy Squad is already very Starship Troopers-like (the Squad's logo even looks like the Federation logo ^^), so...

How about Land Before Time? It's perfect. It's just like the Simpsons in that it continued on and on and no one watched it except that it was actually for kids!

Thank God for The Hobbit or LOTR would be on the edge of marketplace irrelevance. :/

I'll throw a few out there then:

RoboTech/Macross, some nice mecha available.
Voltron, just think of ALL the vehicles involved, either the 5 lions or the 15 smaller ones from the later version plus the opponents.
F Troop, they could do it after the Lone Ranger movie line ends to provide more Western sets.
Emergency (aka Squad 51), all sorts of fire/rescue set options, and a way to introduce town to licensed sets.

I know we are getting some greek mythology figs in the collecti figs...but I SOOOOO would adore mythology sets...and not just Greek. Explore the world of mythology..like the old adventurers line went to different cultures.

And The Little Mermaid.... oh wait, it might be decades-old, but Ariel is currently in the stores. Which just shows the LEGO totally does decades-old themes...

I'm all for HomeStarRunner myself. If I can't have that then I want Care Bears.

I second this. I would love some builds from the land of Strongbadia. USC Trogdor the burninator and of course SB's Bearshark trapl; because nothing is more scary than a bear holding a shark!

Smurfs - However, I'd want it to be based upon the classic animated series, not the recent movie. It would be cool to get a few brick-built smurf houses and other locations from the show. Maybe even a Smurfs version of Collectible Minifigures.


Prince Valiant - an animated series that I believe started in 1991. Prince Valiant sets out from the ruins of Thule, his former home, and goes chasing a dream he had of a place not ruled by strength and brutality. Along his journey, he meets friends Arn and Rowanne, and eventually realizes his dream when he finds King Arthur and Camelot. (This all happens in the first few episodes.) Lots of good morals in the show, and a good mix of castles and civilian structures could make it a fun medieval theme.


Cowboy Bebop - Bounty Hunters, interesting locations, space ships, sword fights, gun fights. All good things, but not for kids. Alternately, Firefly would work.

Haha... I managed to order that last year. I had memories of a cartoon and thought I'd try and track it down. I haven't watched enough to confirm that it is but it probably is. Childhood memories aren't necessarily accurate but I can't think of another show it might be.

That was in the Sunday comics pages going back at least into the seventies, and I suspect even longer, since it seemed a throwback even then. ... Wow, it goes back to 1937, and is still running!

I picked up a dvd of this a while back, worth it for the theme tune alone. But couldn't help but think, why doesn't he put some trousers on.

I remember some old movies also called Prince Valiant, whether this is the same 'licence' I don't know but sounds plausible. (edit: yes it is).

As for suggesting outdated irrelevant licence ideas, isn't that what CUUSOO is for? ha!

Along the lines of Prince Valiant, there was also a similar cartoon about Conan the Barbarian which would be fun. (He had a phoenix on his shield that would come alive and... makes silly jokes from what I remember).

Or 'Cities Of Gold' for the more pirate/conquistador themed sets.

There have been some seriously great suggestions in here (Laff-A-Lympics! Grape Ape! Grape Ape!).

As far as cartoons go and keeping bricks in mind, I'm not sure anything would be cooler than Voltron. A TRON: Uprising (the animated series) line could be decent. I'm really just thinking of the light-bikes, etc. Even Speed Racer, just for various cars and whatnot.

Regarding LEGO minifigures, who wouldn't want a Johnny Bravo with his magnificent hair? I'd also kill for Space Ghost and Harvey Birdman, as I loved their shows. Gargoyles, too.

And, while I am not into either, as previously mentioned, I think Star Trek and Stargate have massive potential.
