I just bought the Lego Kingdoms Chess Set!



My Lenfald army just tripled. This is a great way to stock up on castle minifigs (Lenfald and Loreos)! If I could I would get tons more! I read reviews about this after I ordered it, and was surprised at them. They said since you get so many minifigs for a cheap price, Lego apparently made mistakes on them. All these people reviewed it, and tons of them had misprints and missing pieces. I was so surprised, I was tempted to return it. But when I got it, I opened it, and I had basically NOTHING wrong with it! The only thing wrong was what everybody that reviewed it had (over 100 people), the torsos on the minifigs were slightly, extremely slightly discolored. The jester's torso was slightly pinkish (in the white), and the Dark Green Knights were more chrome like. I was very happy with the Knights, and I can deal with the jester, the slight pinkish hue made it more funny.

Overall I am very happy with this set, and if you haven't gotten it, I recommend it.

I spoke with Lego today and they said the figure promotion was over now.

My wife and I have 2 sets. They are great from the army building stand point. I am looking to get a third but need to get some one who wants the lion knights, as all i am keeping is the dragon knights.

Any takers?

Does this set come with the classic sword, and, if so, how many? I absolutely HATE the crappy new sword the are using in the new castle line, and could use a nice infusion of classic swords to replace them.

Sadly, no. They are those swords as well. I can't say I like them, so I agree with you there. I just won't use them. If I do, they will be as an NPU.
