9. You think of physical pain on three levels: pain, excruciating pain and stepping on a Lego.

Just out of curiosity, how many of the 21 signs did you qualify for, Bruce?

9. A) When you step on a LEGO shark..and the fin cuts the bottom of your foot. Not quite a CHOMP...more like a slice...not a sharknado, but nearly as evil.

About half. It really should have had the title "signs you're a parent of young children", as only a couple of them were truly gendered (unless you assume that only moms cook, do laundry, care for sick kids, etc).

Ouch on the shark. I still think a simple 2x4 is about the worst, though. Hmm, maybe that should be a scientific study - "Which LEGO element hurts the worst when traversing the living room with bare feet?" Anyone want to sign up as a volunteer for this study?

Bruce you got they study wrong! Its which element hurts worst while traversing the living room at 2 am, while heading to the restroom or the kitchen to get a drink!

Double ouch on the shark Blue, I have never had any piece break the skin though. An i have to side with you bruce, the basic 2x4 bricks hurt. Done it more then once. Though they arnt my daughters bricks, she is perty good picking hers up. Its mistly mine or my wifes, an happens while we are sorting the collection, or breaking down sets.

Ever had one of these babies embedded in your foot? I have. Technic pins are no fun. However, I have never stepped on a shark before. I'll just assume it's a bad idea and carry on.

Sheesh, you guys are making me cringe!

Easy solution: Work at a desk/table and get a dog. He'll happily munch on any stray Lego that might accidentally find its way to the floor (I know from experience, lol)

Wow some of you have some interesting tales about stepping on Lego as for me I've stepped on Lego so much it doesn't really hurt any more.

I can't find the piece on Bricklink, but I have fallen knee first onto a massive fire engine bed, with a very sharp hitch. The ensuing wound was gruesome, a scrape and a stab at the same time. Yikes!

Yeah, there was this one time when I jumped off my top bunk and landed on an ill placed brick, it wasn't pretty...

My Cat used to sleep on random pices of Lego. Go Figure.
