Collectible Minifigures series 14

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

Series 14 is Halloween/horror themed. The names of these figs and some pics have shown up on the the web already, but LEGO put out the official images today. Follow the link for all of the pics; here are a couple of my favorites.

I'm not really a horror/zombie fan so was hoping this might be a series I could skip... (I've completed series 1-12 and keep trying to resist the completionist urge each time) but there are some cool parts that I'd probably harvest.

Particularly that grey hood (never managed to find a reasonably priced HP one) and a few other bits that will probably become more desirable as I see other people use them in clever ways.
Less talking, more MOCing.

I've collected every series of figures, and I will do the same here. I think a lot of the designs and parts are pretty cool. The fly person might be my favorite.

I keep hoping that the Simpson figs will kill my desire for the colleti figs...and then the next set comes out. I'm getting a case of these ones. I have evil plans for them.

The fly fig seems like it was made intentionally for this Treehouse of Horrors episode:

I found these guys. They're pretty cool! The only ones I ended up passing on are Frankenstein, the mad Scientist, and the witch.

I'll definitely be picking some of this series up, although those trans clear bases look a bit odd from first impressions.

I think I am going to skip this one. Monsters just don't do it for me.

I actually like the Fly as a new Galaxy Squad alien, and the gargoyles are probably going to be my army builder of this wave.

The cat woman could be used as a fantasy race in a medieval setting.

I'm actually sort of curious to see how her headpiece looks being used for an elf.

Overall I'm pretty excited about this one - the monsters have always been some of my favorites in the previous series, so a whole series of them is pretty much an insta-buy. :)
