New Custom stickers idea
Since the circular shields LEGO makes aren't too compatable with stickers, I was wondering if it is possible to create stickers for the circular "Garbage can lid" which I often use in my viking sets. Could somone experiment with that since I don't have PhotoShop? Thanks.

I've tried......with some success. The problem is that all the discs/radar dishes are concave in nature. Thus a sticker cannot be simply applied. You will have to cut a slit along the radius - resulting in part of the design overlapping itself (on the other end).
Not to mention the shield design template will NOT be a circle. It will be more of an oval.
Sorta difficult to work with, but doable.

I presume the usage of "grabage can lid" matches my use and he means the rippled actual shield, not the kluged radar dish. Armothe is certainly on the right track with his approach for the radar dish - it seemed more work than it was worth, but hey, if somebody else bravely does the work!
The grabage can lid only needs a circle and a center punch. I'd only make it as large as the outer raised ring and leave the true outer lowered edge as a "rim".
