Lord of the Rings - Soldier of Gondor (Preview)

Post by adm_matthew »

After seeing Armothe's latest Lord of the Rings stickers, I decided to re-do some of mine, and here is the result :

Sorry its got so many little dots around the edges, I'll try to clean that up soon. (When you print the stickers out, you can't see those)

Wow, I love the shading. The only thing is that circle thing on the sword sheath should also be a bit on an angle like the sheath itself. Other than that great work!

Wow, both of those look great. In some ways the simplicity of Matthew's design really looks good almost like the movies. But on the other hand Armothe has really captured the majesty I had always imagined when reading the LOTR books. Amazing work both of you.

Done gushing, now back to my regularly scheduled part sorting.

Matthew,

Nice work!! I particularly like the way you did the shading on the 'tree', it really gave it the texture it needs and the result is superb!! Good work!!

And from another post, Armothe wrote:
I've always thought your designs were stellar and have found myself visiting your site with each design I make - for inspiration and reference.
I think it should be the other way around instead, that I was only making weapons and accessories in the beginning and was inspired to try my hands on stickers by none other than Armothe's designs!! :D

And wow!! You guys have no idea how excited I am with this new flood of lotr custom stickers!! I used to feel so lonely and envious of the Starwars group having so many people contributing to making custom figs. :D So without further delay, I present to you some more previews (in case you've missed my announcement on my website):

Great job to both of you! Do either of you have PDF versions of these? If I have time tomorrow after wrenching together some stuff, I might experiment on these.

Those look great! Armothe, what piece is the sticker labeled "Tunic" for?

Hey SS. It's mean to be cut out, holes punched and placed on the waist piece between the torso and legs.

When dealing with medieval and ancient designs torsos just don't cut it in my book. So I designed a piece that extends the design down past the waist.

I do have a new tunic design I'm working on that will probably replace the existing one.
