Custom Armies

Post by Jennifer »

Hi all. My son's 6th birthday is tomorrow, and I have been working on 5 small custom armies for him. 5 factions, one cavalry and 5 foot soldiers each.

Here they are:

Just thought I would share!

And a special little *THANK YOU* goes out to my very good friend, FreakyMcFreak, for all his guidance, advice and work in helping me get these ideas to fruition, and in time too! (LOL ;)) I appreciate your heart full of heraldry geekiness, cause, DUDE, it has to be good for somethin' .....heh heh. Seriously, he is gonna *LOVE* 'em, and I could never, ever have done it. So, elbows high in a toast to Sir Freak A Lot. Thanks a bunch, man. :D

Only the top one is public, but from what I can see, that is one lucky kid!

These are very good. On par with the ones armothe sold in his BL shop at one point.

On a side note, it seems that the castle community has really gotten into customizing... Good thing, IMHO. :)

Very Nicely done Jennifer. They look a bit like an honor guard that nobles would use when plotting against a Monarch, just a few loyal soldiers and their leige lord on the way to meet other disgruntled lords. :D

Those are really impressive, thats one lucky little guy. My 6 year old son just "borrows" Daddy's armies!

Wow! Now these are impressive. I can hardly believe that you only had M.S. Paint! Very nice, very realistic, very well done.

These are GREAT! I sure wish I got something like that for my 6th birthday! They would look like they would be very appealing to kids.

Wow!
They are really nice. As a kid, I would have been happy to have something like that.

Creative thing is really great gifts. :D

Your work together Jennifer and Freak is wonderful.
They remind me of the great things Lego done in 1980's.

Congratulations.

Cool! The Bruisers especially caught my attention. The combination of the black and blue is very nice, IMO.

How did your son react to them? I'd imagine he was overjoyed, as I know I would be...

Hey - Thanks for all the replies, guys. I appreciate them immensely. Wyatt loved the factions I gave him. He did one large battle where they all fought each other...the Blood Eagles won - heh heh.

Yes, Freak and I seem to make a pretty terrific team. (T - double e - double r - double i - double f - double i - double c - c - c) I think we should work on more things together. Don't you?
