I was just wondering which style is preferred.
Listed below are the two designs for oval shield stickers

Any comments are welcome.

I like the flat since it looks more LEGOiey.

Not that I use stickers, but I'd personally say the first one. It would fit in with official parts more I think. There's a point where things just get too fancy IMO.

The modified / raised looks pretty cool. Of course, I'll never use a stick unless Lego makes it.

I agree with Redaxe, I'll only use stickers made by the LEGO company. Sorry. However, if I did use stickers, I would defenitely use the top one as it would fit a lot better into a LEGO army.

Thanks alot...
:)

I have begun to rethink my sticker designs & try to stick with a more "LEGO" feel.

I think that the raised & detailed portions can look cool, but one can get too carried a way.

This post has been very helpful in my designs.

I will keep you all updated as I come closer to completing sticker designs.

(Any more comments are still welcome)
Thanks,

The modified raised makes it look more realistic.

I have to agree that the original/flat looks more in keeping with the authentic LEG shields, and I consequently cast my vote that way. Also, there was something about the colouring (maybe it was my computer) about the new/raised that looked wrong. I'll check again.

Yup, I still think the border colour looks wrong on it. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I would have to say Flat. The other one looks good, but since none of my other ones have it, it wouldn't look good.
I build, therefore I am.
