Excellent! Just the type of helmet Lego should produce. One question: are the eye-openings high enough for the placement of minifig eyes? They seem a tad low.

sculpty, my friend, sculpty. However, the stuff is hard to form into the exact shapes you want unless you have some good tools and a skilled hand.

Cool helm, as it has been said before, TLC should produce some of these. They'd be perfect for Greeks (although to a middle-earth-ian mind, the first thing that occurs is: Numenorean, from the movie.) Still, it would be great to have.

Beautifully done.

I suppose I can offer a number of rather technical suggestions on proportions, but since these things are often about taste or practical limitations, I'll refrain unless that's the type of thing you are really looking for.

You have really outdone yourself here! Just what I have dreamed of for some time. Complete with the plume thingee (what is that TTK Mr. technical?). This is my favorite work of yours. Now I suppose me getting my hands on 50 of these hummers is a near impossibility due to $ constraints.

The nose guard looks a bit big, but I'll live with it! Give me a status, please.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the comments. And yes! I am interested in hearing 'everything' you have to say about it, feasible or not. After all, the only way I can improve on it is to hear more opinions about it, right? As I have already stated on my website, I am not entirely satisfied with the thickness of the helmet, nor the size of the nose and cheek guard (much too big). But unless I produce them (in which case adjustments can be made with the metal moulds), I can't do much more about them at the moment. However, TTK or anybody else, if you don't mind enlightening me somewhat regarding the more technical issues, such as the shape of the plumes, etc (I've actually looked up a few pictures for reference but they all have a different shape!), please do!!

I always feel it's more fun to have more people collaborate on a project, than to sculpt something on my own. That's why I always appreciate your comments and feedbacks! :D
