Looks very good! What sort of paint did you use to get these results?

Hi dariofol,

Nicely done! The color is really like the natural lego color, if you can share this secret with us, I might be tempted to re-paint every single new bluish-grey bricks so they look like the old grey again. :P

I also like the forestly setting where you put the figs in. Do you have any pictures that show the complete structure?

I saw these yesterday on Brickshelf and I was amazed. You do excellent work, I commend you. Now that the very sincere gushing is done...

... If you could divulge the manufacturer/brand of the paint used and the color used, it would be greatly appretiated. I have a surplus of assorted hoods and would love to make a few customs, as I am sure many of us would. Does the manufacturer make Red as well? Please let us know. :D

It certainly seems to highlight properly, I really can't tell that they aren't straight Lego production pieces. Nicely done! Please give us a how-to (and in the Customs area, not MOC).

I saw the green hoods on Brickshelf and had no idea that they were repainted. In fact, I wondered which set had come with green hoods, and I went on a mad search on Bricklink for them. Nice work.

That is amazing. Does it rub off easily with use? Say, if you were to put it on a weapon, could a minifig hold it with no danger of the paint coming off? And I too, like everyone else, am extremely curious what paint and techniques you used to accomplish this.

The paint is a Nitro color for Car (Automotive paint), i use a Tamiya white coat to prepare the surface and next i put the green with my aerograph...
The color are make with mixture of fondamental color and i pic the green over a catalog RAL6029 (international code)
Next i use several abrasive paper very light (n° 3600 ---> n°8000) to exact plastic brightness (Micromesh 3M ever from carriage maker shop )

These look spectacular! Certainly had me fooled!

You really must give us a greater detailed How-To (and you may consider writing an article for the CC main site. If you do, I can help with editing it into better english).

However, this really does belong in the Customs forum.

For those that find "aerograph" cryptic, that's a brand of airbrush. Now to figure out where I hid my Iwata HPC and compressor...

Very cool, I plan to use that same technique in gray to paint the KK2 armor old light gray and all of my new gray bricks light gray too. It's a little labor intensive, but I'd give anything not to buy 10,000 new gray bricks just to get one lousy wall section to match in color.
