So what's interest level at for this kind of thing?
I have another sticker article in mind (Why not, it's not like I'm BUILDING anything ), this time I'm going to attempt flags, since I can't do the KK2 shields yet. I remember Adm_Matthew was working on a flag article, but I don't remember seeing it go to completion, so I hope he doesn't mind me doing this.
Now, I realize there isn't a huge number of LEGO flags our there to be copied. Off the top of my head I can think of the Guarded Inn, a Crusader, Black Falcon and a Black Monarch 2x2 flag design, and a Dragon Masters 5x5 (or whatever the dimention on the big flags is) flag design.
However, I thought it'd be neat to also do this for the article:
Whaddya think? Has it been done before?
Of course, black isn't the best color, but this is simply a template color I'm working on as not to waste color ink.
It also would be as shiney as the flag if it were on photo paper.
I see no point in making a template that covers the entire flag, so the stickers are meant to add a design, rather than change the look like a torso or shield sticker.
I realize that angle of the design seen here doesn't match the angle of the points of the flag, but I actually like it this way. I plan to do many differently shaped designs as well, which I will discuss shortly.
If there is enough interest, this is what will be made available:
---------------------------------------------------------------
I am researching real medieval flag designs, so I will probably make available several designs, like checkered or two and three colored flags.
The way the colors are on the flag will vary as well. Seen here with a point facing the poll, there will also be (planned so far) point facing out from the poll, no point (vertical color changes), and angled color changes (going from the top of the flag at the base out to the end at the bottom).
Faction emblems are also possible.
All templates of the above designs will be available. One right side and one possibly slightly longer left side. Because of the curve, the right side will go farther than an equally long left side, but if that isn't a big issue, or if the difference isn't very noticable, I will not look into it (more testing is required).
Designs will only be made in the available 4x1 flag colors thus far released by LEGO: Red, Blue, White, Green, Yellow, Black (and Dark Grey?). All other colors like Purple I will leave up to the user to create. Unless Purple flags have been released, in which case that'll be made, too
----------------------------------------
Feedback, for or against, is greatly appreciated.

Troy just reminded me, I will also be doing designs for the 7x3 banner flags, like the banners in the first Harry Potter Castle.

Hm... interest? You bet; at least from me! Your to modest, Mr. Sava; I'm sure any sticker-thing that you do will generate interest. Also, I myself have been playing around with some flag designs (using templates by Armothe [sp?]), but not with any of the official designs. I can't wait! Please, please?

I'd be very interested, especially in the dragon Master 5x5 size. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

That is a great idea. You could do 2X2 flags for a variety of trades, like a stable or blacksmith.

I had no doubts as to people's interest in normal flag designs. The question raised was to the interest people would have in the possibility of 4x1 wavy flag stickers, such as the one in the picture.

That was the original plan, an all encompassing flag sticker article.Formendacil wrote:Interested, like: yeah! I am a sticker fiend. And I like the idea of pennant stickers. Maybe though, you could incorporate both pennants and rectangular sticker designs into an article.
However, that has changed.
I have now 111 flag designs which include 24 templates, and it's growing.
Therefore I have decided to release two flag sticker articles. One will contain all the square and rectangular flag designs, and the other will contain the 4x1 'wavy' flag designs.
The 4x1 flag design article will come first, since I'm getting so close to finishing.
