Questions about Decal Paper

Hey guys my name is Jake Burklin (known online as royalbrickcustoms.) I am a customizer and I was wondering what type of decal paper (or other materials) I should print my decals on. In the past I've used Avery brand printable labels and printed out my decals and then cut them out. Is there other options (other than waterslide decals) for paper types. Should I use plain printer paper and cover it with tape and then glue it to the torso? Should I use photo paper (which is glossy)? I have a Mac OS X computer and an inkjet printer.

Comments and replys appreciated ASAP.

Thanks,

~Jake Burklin

I print them on white inject paper (gives better quality with the inject printer) and cover it with clear tape and fix it with double sided tape on the minifig. As long as the decal is white, this works perfectly (see: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=22539), but if you want to use it with a colour, you get this ugly white border on it (see: http://www.flickr.com/photos/buurli_burri/8050853280/).
I also thought about printing it on clear adhesive film, which would give thinner decals which would be clear.
