Articulated Miniature Legs

Some years ago when TLC started making the minilegs for the figures I was frustrated by the fact the legs did not move. Just seems sad to have every other figure posed to run or kick or sit even but the poor children, goblins, dwarves, etc have to stand... and stand.... and stand there. I know many of you felt this way as well. My best friend and I decided we'd do something about it. We spent the last years making various designs and prototypes but were never 100% happy. Then we hired a man skilled to make high quality plastic items from molds and such. He has done work for some of the top US toy companies and other industries making complex plastic parts and devices. We are now happy with the end result. It is awesome.... We have made articulated miniature legs!!!. These work well with Lego and some other construction toy systems figures for many of your needs.

Right now we have four colors- dark blue, reddish brown, tan and grey.

These articulated legs will let you pose the figures in a variety of positions from sitting, walking, and still.... standing. Now you can do some stop action films and give motion to all your minifigures. Those of you wanting to build a halfling, dwarf or goblin army can now do so and they can be posed to MARCH!!! Further we have kept the price low to allow these legs to be on the level of the old stiff ones on some major online sources. And if you buy in bulk we have a discount as well.

So come and check this awesome new product out! If you have any questions please let me know.

Good news indeed! I was literally bemoaning the lack of this part not 90 minutes ago, since I want to make some active kid minifigs for my Christmas village this year. Do you plan to produce any more colors?

Karalora,

If these find a market and are popular we plan on making many different colors.

When we do we will do a poll to see what colors people like.

Thanks for looking!

So was I! One of the guys at work was asking what LEGO did with legs for short people.

Winner!

These look brilliant. Looking forward to seeing a review somewhere like Brothers Brick, Brickset or even right here.

Happy you all like them! We really designed these for all the fans who wanted to have something that looked like it was constant with the rest of the figures but still moved...

My 6 year old was a play tester about a year ago and he made one Bilbo Baggins first then came back and said.... ok, I need another 13 of them!

If any one needs and additional info or photos let me know. We did put some more photos up on the site as well!

I would like to see what these look like side-by-side with official Lego "mini legs"

At first glance though, they look pretty good! :D

Whoa pretty awesome, I always ban the Lego mini legs and Lego to the underworld when I have to use them, because they canĀ“t be used like regular legs
But this is great news that someone has made these, I will have to order :tasty:

AK,

Will do! I'll get on it once back from work.

Mencot,

Glad you like them! That ws more or less our take as well. Seemed just sad they did not have them move.

These look great. I'll add my sentiments that it's about time someone came up with these. I too wonder why TLG didn't just make new short legs to be used with the normal hips.

This does lead into my question though.....are the legs removable and interchangeable with either your hips or Lego's hips? Not that I currently forsee a need to use different coloured hips, but it would be cool if you could.

Eitherway, great work!!

mmcb,

It was a challenge to get this project to work and took a huge number of redos of designs and prototypes.... and was very expensive. The die/machine alone I imagine would keep most people out of trying to attempt this.

The hips are close to the same but not the same. We had to bring the post to a different place to make full movement possible. We also had to redo quite a bit of the legs and hips to ensure it looked and worked right in all placements. The radii of the legs are different as well. Sort of makes sense as they are small in proportion. I figure that is why TLC did not make mobile legs as their hips would not have worked as the lower part of the hips would basically be in the way.

That said our hips are to my understanding can be switched let me double check with a few to make sure.
