currently I am doing some experimenting with sculpey, and also with making some plaster molds and casting with durable resin of some sort..

nothing near as cool as the blastermans stuff which you can purchase, but just something to fool around with.

I recommend you just try a couple of things and see what you like to work with.

or contact blasterman :D

Hi Mr. D,

You should check out http://www.littlearmory.com/

Jeff Byrd makes excellent custom weapons. I have looked that the ones donated for the Colossal Castle Contest and they look great (thanks Little Armory :D ) I should probably get some for myself one of these days.

blasterman has another thread around here somewhere - (do some searching and you'll see) and he left this email armory@comcast.net

BTW blasterman - I am still planning on contacting you next month for some axes and pikes (and I will still keep calling them pikes whatever the real name is :D)

I call them Pikes, so they're Pikes(of sorts).

...and I'll be waiting for your email, no problem.

Thanks.

But did I have to move this thread? I honestly do not remember.

Many threads are moved. The admins plan to make a page describing the forum categories in more detail.

You saw my new signature, which I will use occasionally just to let new members where to post. It is just easier for everyone to browse and read if posts go in the correct categories.

Thanks :D

Hey Mr. D,

You can also do all sorts of modifications on standard weapons. I do it all the time, I have several examples of some of the modifications I have done on weapons in my brickshelf gallery look in the armies and the 3 different Character folders if you want to see them. Mostlya different style of axe, blunt weapons ect... If costs are a concern to you, modifying existing parts is a good way to diversify your weapons. I may do an article on part modification, would something like help?

I would have to agree with that Will, it is quite amazing what you can do with an exacto knife and a file! I have a cute* little blunt weapon made out of some space parts... I will have to figure out how to post some of these

Thanks, Will. I have thought about modifying some lego weapons. Sometime (hopefully soon) I'll get a bulk lot of weapons off of Ebay and follow your suggestion. Also, it would be nice if you would post an article about modifying Lego weapons. :D

The article is in the works, perhaps it will be up early next week. I will be highlighting custom weapons as well as my custom crown.
