Definitions of toff: an elegantly dressed man (often with affected manners)
As that Toff, I would have to say I fall far from elegantly dressed and a little to rednecked to be considered affected.
The rest you slackers have some work to do. And that social climber is moving waaay to fast. Slow down man, enjoy the scenery, eat some dead animals.

U.K. upper-class person: somebody who is rich or upper-class, especially somebody who is also smartly dressedwlister wrote:Definitions of toff: an elegantly dressed man (often with affected manners)
Dandy; Swell.
And implied but not stated, snob who thinks he is better'n the rest o' us Great Unwashed because he doesn't have to work for a living (definition of a "gentleman").
And note the color-coordinated fashion-statement destrier on a certain toff's avatar.
....but then, I'm just a jealous social-climbing sycophant, so I'm not sure I'd pay too much attention to me.

I will repress who I like and the color coordinated outfit is just a disguise to hide my villany.
"You there, bring me my bunny skin slippers...
... not the grey ones you daft idiot, the white ones, they are fluffier!"
Above statement meant merely in jest, I prefer stewed rabbit to rabbit clothes.

Taken out of context, I have to agree: I mean, how many medieval populations were most composed of Gongfarmers? I mean, we must all be able each have our own Gongfarmer, even the lowliest serfs.Duke_Dave wrote:Something is not right here....
At least we only have one king (even if he is a cheating, backstabbing sneak of a dragon: j/k!)
Imagine if you became a king a 500 posts. We's already have seven.

*ahem* sorry...
Silence knave! just kiding.
I think that this thread would have been better in it had never been posted. No offence meant to anyone but I think that this tread has increased the want for more posts. And if you only post because you want to become higher, than you shouldn't post at all. But I shouldn't speak because I have a slight urge to become higher than a gentlemen.
I build, therefore I am.
