Rejoining the ranks!
My friends,
For those of you who either don't know or don't remember me, my name is Nathan Cunningham. I'm an AFOL living near Salt Lake City, Utah, and joined the great community of Classic-Castle back in 2005. A lot has changed since then, for you and for me; but I'm pleased to announce that after two wonderful years of working in and around San Antonio and Austin, Texas, I am home once more. Home for me, of course, means Utah and family--but it also means the AFOL community, of which Classic-Castle has always held a special place for me. I have a family here, too, and I've missed you.
To be honest, I wasn't planning on making an official return to CC until I had pulled all my Lego back out of storage and built something... but as I browsed a few posts tonight and saw so many familiar faces (well, user-names at least), I became so excited that I could no longer hold myself back from rejoining your ranks. I have a lot of fond memories here, and look forward to making more as I get to know all of you again. It's good to be back!

Hey Nathan,
Welcome back! You're back in time to get Harold - of course, at the rate he travels, you probably could have been gone another six months before your turn will come up. Are you back to blogging as well?

Re: Rejoining the ranks!
Thank you for the kind welcome!
I have started a new personal blog, The Glass is Half Full. I probably wouldn't call it a "Lego-themed" blog, but on occasion I will make Lego-themed posts because that is a part of my life.Bruce N H wrote:Are you back to blogging as well?
Thank you! It's good to have more Castle fans in the LUG; I look forward to collaborating on some shows.Rick-Ricks wrote:I saw your post on the UtahLUG website, but didn't get around to posting a welcome back there. So Welcome Back.

Hi and welcome back! I don't know if you remember, but you picked my name out of a hat in January of '08 and sent me a Holiday Pick a Brick box. Remember?!
That was the nicest thing! Thanks again.

OK, I'm sad I missed this for a few reasons. I know why you were in Central Texas, and I'm glad that you had a wonderful time. I too spent 2 years doing the same thing in SoCal. I'm from Texas, just not that part of Texas. And depending on where in San Antonio and Austin you were at, I have friends & family that you might have ran into(or at least should have).

I'd like to say "Hi!" too. As long as I have been lurking on the internet there has been this enigma.

Two or so years away from your LEGO? Must have been brutal. I tried to stay away from my LEGO when I went away to college but I couldn't stand it. I had a few of my figures with me to keep my sanity until I graduated.
Welcome back, I believe I remember vaguely when you left.

Yep! I'm not the biggest poster, of course, but I'm here and happy. Are you here to stay now?
Awesome! A PM is coming your way.And depending on where in San Antonio and Austin you were at, I have friends & family that you might have ran into(or at least should have).
At times, yes--especially when those moments of inspired creativity jumped out from nowhere. Thankfully I wrote down a few ideas... and this weekend I finally got my Lego collection out of the garage. Two or so years away from your LEGO? Must have been brutal.
