i'm a newbie here ...

Post by blackthunder »

hello ... i'm a newbie ... just started into collecting LEGO castles ... actually, i've always liked the CASTLE theme but somehow, in my childhood days, i never ever got the CASTLE sets. It was always the TOWN or SPACE sets.

Anyways, with any type of collectibles, there are the 'so called' holy grails ... and/or pieces that people treasure more than others ... and so, for CASTLE lego .... what are they?

-forest men?
-certain types of castle men?

thanks in advance!

Holy grails of Lego Castle fans?

Pitchforks.

If there is one single piece that every classic Castle devotee wants, it's a pitchfork. Not even a really useful piece, but one we all want.

By the way, welcome to Classic-Castle!

Any of the figs from the original 375 Yellow Castle, and especially the Art Deco visors that appeared in that set. Plus most of the stuff previously mentioned - I have at least 24 genuine Lego peasant figures, but not a single pitchfork to share amongst them. I can't say I care that much about a black sword, but lots of other people do, and they are very rare. Capes - I've lots of plastic ones and lots of cloth ones, so I'm not sure why that was mentioned. There's a list of fairly rare items floating about, though not all would be classed as "Holy Grails".

Welcome to Classic-Castle.com! I moved this thread because it belongs in "announcements".

Other rare items include black plume feathers, white dragon plumes, one clip saddles, grey treasure chest, round shields, and basically any old figures/shields from before 1984.

Hey, welcome aboard. What about the all-light-grey armor from the Hogwarts set? Another tough thing to find is some of the minifig food--not specifically castle, but a turkey would be great at my lord's feast table.

Hi, welcome to CC.C.

I think the holy grailist of all would be Jojo's red ghost.

My heart belongs to the old dark gray pointy visors and dark gray euro armor.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.
