I'm a long time reader of these forums. As my kid is only just old enough that I have time to build (and only just old enough to build with me), I finally got off of my lazy backside to register.
I've been a fan of Lego castle ever since I received 6080 as a kid, but that was my only Lego castle set growing up.
Most of my first paycheck, of course, went into another 6080, a king's mountain fortress, the armored inn, and enough spare parts to link all three castles in a glorious 64x64 square with a sizable Crusader garrison. My childhood Lego dream was complete, and I was content for a while... until I discovered this site saw what everyone else was building here (Haidios castle at the time (and many, many others since) --I've been lurking that long). I've rebuilt that same 64x64 castle so many times over the past years that only a very strong imagination can still see the two 6080s linked together with the 6081, though I think the original raised baseplate is still under there somewhere. The latest version is still under construction, and it's a joy to share that building fun with a little version of me.

And 6080 was one of the best castles of all time. The first castle I received for Xmas was Black Falcon's Fortress, but the first castle I /saw/ was at a friend's house, and it was Black Monarch's Castle; this was the one that got me excited in Lego Castles. Have fun posting here!
