Well it's been eleven years...

Hello everyone,
I haven't been on the cc forums for many, many years. I'd forgotten some of the classic lego jargon, like 'MOCs' and 'SNOT' (is that still a thing?). A few days ago, my brother who had claimed most of the 'family legos' and (by extension) my own collection, decided that having legos in his basement rotting wasn't good for him, and decided to let them rot at my house. I opened the box and saw a few things that I built all those years ago, which led me on a goose chase to find all the old memories. I found a few picture galleries, my brickshelf (which I guess I could've found just by logging into my account here), and my flickr which, I suppose I deleted all of the lego pictures off of a while ago.
Anyway, I saw a few references to the old battle contests and remember entering those, and a few familiar faces still posting incredible MOCs. Lego has changed a lot over eleven years, but so have I. Looking over my old posts is quite entertaining to see my 15/16 year old self and my awkwardness.
The brief story is I went to college, went on a church mission, went back to college, graduated, got a job, left the job, went to graduate school, then transferred to another graduate school. I got married sometime in the middle of that as well. Now I'm in Utah and finishing up my PhD.
Now I'm gathering up my collection again and looking for suggestions for organization, good new pieces (single slopes were new when I was just leaving), and inspiration.
Thanks everyone, I'm glad to be back.
George
