LEGO Harry Potter summer 19 sets

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Summer 19 Harry Potter set images are out. You can see them on Brick Fan but I wanted to do a quick look at castle potential.

The tree pieces are okay, but mainly useful for the dementors, who make great demons/nazgul/etc parts, and that cool new trans-blue-stag. Now that they've made that stag mold, I hope they also use it to make a normal non-ghosty brown stag. This is definitely the best of the bunch from a figs/beasts point of view, as fully half of the figs (i.e. the dementors) are directly castle-useful.

IMO not great for castlers. Yes, it's a dragon, but not my favorite. IMO the building is completely useless.

Another version of Hagrid's Hut. Some basic building pieces that are always useful, the executioner (I forget his name) would directly fit in a castle world, pumpkins, lantern, Buckbeak would all be useful. If you don't already have a Buckbeak from the last time he was in a set (which was IIRC at least 10 years ago), this would come in handy.

This is obviously the best one as far as building parts go (though the figs aren't great for us). Hogwarts sets have always had lots of useful castle pieces in tan color schemes and this is no exception. Also lots of castle-useful accessories in the interior (sword, quill, book, chest, goblets etc).
