The Vault
While browsing http://www.lowlug.nl I came upon an article on LEGO fans (Klaas and Jan-Albert) visiting the Vault at Billund.
This is the place AFOL's dream about! MISB sets from our childhood are here! You can see King's Castles and other 1980's castle sets in several pictures. Ok, so the vault doesnt have everything, but you should check out pictures here:

It is so cool

P.S. The vault sets are kept for legal reasons (in case a company tries to copy an old set) - this serves as proof of LEGO's copyright of sets

Thats a good question. No one said "only" AFOLs dream about it. He just said that we do.Sir Smittens wrote:Who says only AFOLs dream of it
But man, I'd love to see that in person, and to meet Kjeld. What an honor.

Did they have a copy of the mysterious set 6103 of 1985 ?

That could be the proof of the existence of this set...

That would make me an AFOL. I wish I could see all these sets. Wouldn't it be sweet if tlc rereleased all the older castle sets.Jojo wrote:Hello!
Hehe, OK. "AFOL" means "adult" fan of LEGO. But Castle is meant for children from 5 to 12. So with 14 you are "adult" in respect of this given age on the boxes...Sir Smittens wrote:Who says only AFOLs dream of it?? I'm 14 and I'd give a lot to see it!

If anyone has a copy of this misb, it is probably LEGO. You can see that an early policeman 4 minifigure pack is here:Did they have a copy of the mysterious set 6103 of 1985 ?

Unfortunately, the LEGO fans who visited skipped most of the castle sets Although the boy did look at the castle bonus packs The thread on lowlug said that the vault is not complete. So it is possible that they dont have it.

Quite frankly, I’m flabbergasted. For anyone who appreciates legos, this is Lego set heaven. The value of those sets must be incredible. Just think – they most likely have a few copies of some of the old 1950s sets MISB!
