Wow. Seriously the best castle set lego has produced since
such a long time (maybe best ever?). Its great to see them incorporating building techniques from the market street sets into a castle set like this (I also spied a few details that are pretty common in fan mocs).

In fact the set looks like some sweet moc more than any other castle set I've ever seen. The blue building has some great details -that bay window- cool!

I'm loving the details in the blacksmith's shop as well, and this has some awesome figs. Looks like alot of fun to build too.

Is it really only $100 USD?! thats the same price as the castle siege yet this has almost twice the amount of pieces. I definaty; would like to get my hands on this at some point.

Now if they would only relase an actual castle with this quality of design and detail.

Looking at the interior shot, one could argue that the scene taking place at the top floor of the tavern is open to more than one possible storyline interpretation.

I was so taken with the beauty of this set, the fact that nearly EVERYTHING we as a community have asked for and the overall attention to detail in this set that I felt compelled to call LEGO Consumer Services and tell them all how much I love their efforts. The fact that it's slated for a January release, just a hare's breath away from my February birthday shows that they were thinking of me. This is like the strongest declaration of love I have ever seen. Truly, TLG has the hots for me.

I don't post very much, but I had to log in just to share in everyone's excitement. Incredible. Easily the most beautiful LEGO set ever released for the Castle line (perhaps for -any- System theme). Makes me a little misty just looking at it. What a wonderful surprise for LEGO to give us.

I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself when I say that I always assumed a Castle 'civilian' set was little more than a pipe dream. If you'd told me a 'Castle market' set was in the works, I'd have called you crazy. If you'd told me all the unique/rare elements that it would include, all the new torso prints and attention to detail, I would have had you committed on the spot.

Just. . . wow. The picture in Dunechaser's Flickr of the guy hugging the box for this set pretty much sums up how I felt when I saw it.

Bravo, LEGO. Bravo.

First of all I wanted this for my birthday in November 2009, thougt this was a late 2009-set, but I can't wait more than a year, since it will become available in January. It's getting even better. I want this so much! :D
