You know, the brilliant thing about that bow is that you can dip the ends in ink!

I may need to get one of these. It would awesome to have at conventions. I could pop off evil...ummm...things....yeah.

No. You may not, you big old bubble-popper you! ;)

That is exactly what I thought at first sight Josh. It would be fun to shoot the kids at the convention. Then I thought, kids will be running off with my arrows... and throwing them back at me right into my MOCs... Maybe not such a good idea.

As for this leading into the elves. Possibly... or... lego has figured out kids love to shoot one another with nerf guns. This looks to be a rerelease of an old nerfgun from a few years ago. My nephew had one. It worked pretty well.

If you analyze the picture from the link of mrKovach, every kingdom represented on the map has come into being at some point. The only kingdom not yet in production would be that of the Elves, and judging by the small shield with new faction symbol, the Elves might not be unlikely at all. Of course, my words are only a continuation of speculation. Although, i cannot imagine TLC randomly drawing in a kingdom of the map to provide some sort of imaginery filler for the drawing. Just my opinion obviously...

You are completely correct. These are the issues. Lego has done this before and it usually means that something like that will come out.

But its usually fairly soon afterward. The new sets from for the first half of the year have already been announced and no elves. A prominent Lego employee (Creative Director of Playthemes, Matt Ashton) said, "sorry no elves" when he was unveiling new figs at BrickCon in October. Lego has planned many things and then canceled them for a multitude of reasons. Also the various departments don't always communicate as well as they could. Its possible that one department (that created the map) was given the go ahead prematurely.

That said, it may have been a bit of misdirection on his part, if Elves are coming in the later half of the year. Its just impossible to say. Like I said, I would love Elves, but we have no way of knowing.

my own opinion is that the elves wont be released. it's hard in mf terms to differentiate the elves from the humans.

of the opinions given, eg. giving them slanty eyes is not an option as it's derogatory to some asian groups (see the miley cyrus incident).

the other, pointy ears - not possible if you want headgears too.

i just hope they release new insignias in 2010. the crownies are getting stale, imo. you can think of those as elves or another human faction as you wish.

instead of metal armor/weapons, i hope they start making studded leather and light weapons. :P i like the old peasant's cowl and hope they will remake them!

Couldn't that be an indication that they're finally spreading out the awesomeness? I mean, with the new sets they're developing the troll and crownie factions even further by giving us the troll fortress with shamaness, and the crownie queen. They seem to be investing more in the current factions with the new sets, so maybe elves will come up in the future. Maybe next year sometime. One way or another, I'm sure Elves are an idea TLC hasn't completely shelved. That would be madness.

My 2 cents.

God bless.

EDIT: Oh and another thing: Just thinking of the figs from the Advent Calendar: we got the barmaid with MMV, we're getting the jester with one of the new sets, and the evil witch came with what, the giant chess set? Something tells me we haven't seen the last of her yet.
May the blessing of the Lord be upon you. <><

Semantics, I know, but did he mean/say "sorry no elves" in the new minifigs he was showing, or "sorry no elves" in 2009?

I said that was possible in the last paragraph of my post.
