This one is high on the nostalgia chart for me. I still don't have a complete one, but someday....

The figs are a big one for me. I love them, a lot. The actual pieces of the castle aren't that special.

Is this one in the box or opened?

That seems about right. The cheapest complete set on Bricklink is 149.99.

Does it have all eight visors? The originals had 1 spare copy of each visor. I also agree that this price is good for a pristine condition copy.

I am not sure if it is the remake or original 1978 one
And There was Eight visors with yellow castle!

If it is listed on Bricklink as complete, then would it have the extra four?
EDIT:I have purchased the set,and when I get it I will tell you if it has the extra four
I decided to purchase it when I saw it was the cheapest one that was intact
Although not to brag about my purchases  , I also grabbed Castle Guard,Maidens Cart, and Supply Cart for
$12.00 dollars,$12.50,and 7 dollars respectively

I am sorry if this is off topic in the thread :?
Thank you Josh and architect,as your comments persuaded me to buy this beauty :D

I don't know if you want to close this thread now or not :(

Hello!

What do you mean by "remake"? 375 vs. 6075? That should be easily detected by looking at the building instructions.

And There was Eight visors with yellow castle!

The four extra visors were extra in the same way as visors from motorbike helmets and 1×1 round plates are extra in sets these days. Even when buying a "complete" copy from BrickLink I’d very highly doubt these extra visors are included. Or if they are included the price would be accordingly higher about 4 × $20 + pristiness markup. Especially on BrickLink, sellers know what they got and wouldn’t give away things like classic visors. :-) And I would not expect them doing it. Anyway, a complete set including all the extra parts would be more than pristine condition. I would rather expect the four extra visors when buying from Ebay or garage sales and flea markets, where people just sell their own old stuff and easily include everything that came with the set (if they still have it), unaware of these visors’ rareness.

In 1978 Lego was very generous with extra parts, in particular with the yellow Castle. It was the beginning of a new era, the Minifig era. So everyting minifig-related was naturally new and cool, and if a child lost any of these special parts it couldn’t possibly replace it with parts from their previous collection. And this Castle 375 of course was the highlight of that years releases with its 14 figures, but it was also meant to be built with. That’s probably why a couple of other parts were included as extras as well: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Jojo/ ... tovers.jpg
(I got these with a "used" set, so there might have been even more parts. And it’s hard to count them in an unopened box.)

Bye
