Majisto is and always shall be the best (and most awesomest) of all.

You're right count, although he is widely known and loved he will always be shrouded in myth and legend.

Re: The Eight Wizards
I had to vote for Majisto just out of sheer childhood nostalgia.

Re: The Eight Wizards
I prefer the newer figures. My favorite wizard is the Good Wizard. I like his printed legs with the pouch, vial, etc., and his printed hat. I wish he would have been more widely available in the US. Tied for second favorite is the Evil Wizard and Witch, for the unique printing on legs/dress and torso. I don't have the Troll Sorceress yet, but i'm sure she'll move into a three-tie for second once I do, also for the printing.
I think the most useful wizard is Majisto. If I could have multiples of any wizard, it would be him. Swap out the hat for hair, remove the beard, and/or change the head and you have many possibilities for different peasent characters. Without the pointy hat and wand, nothing on his printed torso really identifies him as a wizard.

If I had to pick one, I'll go with Majisto. I value all of them because all are excellent. I was so happy when LEGO came out with Majisto and all the rest.

Baa...
Think I'll be a sheep and follow the rest of the herd.
I'll vote for Merlin ..[Majisto] he was the first and still stands out from the rest of crowd. Who else could get away with a bright blue outfit and a fairy wand.

Re: The Eight Wizards
Well this poll has come to an end and it seems Majisto has won by a long shot . The good wizard came second if anyone wants to know. I would say that this poll was very successful and thanks to everyone who voted and took time to comment.
Thanks again everyone

Re: The Eight Wizards
Majisto will always be my favorite wizard. I can remember seeing the wizard of blue all the way back when I first started collecting. The character has been in many of my favorite sets, generally stands out as the most visually appealing, and I just cannot see any lego wizard replaces Majisto in my mind. Although, while I am almost positive about my sorcerer claims, I would find it interesting if a new wizard was put into production that challenged my favoritism. Nice poll...
Re: The Eight Wizards
So I just noticed that evil wizard just uses Ogel's face with a white pupil? That's a little disappointing.
Re: The Eight Wizards
I was never a big fan of the wizards. Give me a trusty sword and shield. That's all I need.
