If you could bring back any Castle Subtheme...

Post by Forestboy »

If you could bring back any Lego Castle Subtheme (Forestmen, Black Falcons, etc.) and modernize it...what would it be? (For better or for worse :D )

This has been discussed ad nauseum around here but I'm not sure if it's had it's own thread for a long time and since it's one of my favorite topics, I'll bite: Today, I'll say Forsetmen. They may be the closest thing we could get to some peasantry with it's own set of sets.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Is that Formendacil's theme? :eyebrows:

Because three sets do not a faction make, I'll say Wolfpack.

But, then again... isn't Ninja is a Castle subtheme?

Nah, that's the Corsetmen.

But, on topic... anyone else have a favorite subtheme?

Either the forestmen or wolfpack would be great additions to the castle lineup. Thieving bandits are needed to add excitement to the theme.

Hard choice. Perhaps...Fright Knights? I thought they made rather good villians. But the Wolfback or the Forestmen would be nice, as well, as Architect mentioned.

Yes, bringing back Forestmen would be would I would want to see, because of the peasants too (and the pitchforks!). It's also my favorite theme and I wasn't alive when it came out, although I do have a minifig from a friend.

black falcons but if not, forestmen
first reasoning for BFs
really cool heraldry(at least compared with the crownies)
no good/evil connotation
really cool castles
then for the FM
all earlier stated reasons
I need lego pieces for tree making
who doesn't like robin wood(no typo that is according to T.H. White)esque robbers and bandits
it would cause a boom in carts(I.E. wagons full of treasure being defended against forestmen)

He who thinks you should look at the box that says "Quaraga" if you want to find out his username (about as useful to you as his real name). he only wants you to look so he can laugh about you looking there because he's a total smart...

I was going to say Forestmen, but I'd prefer Wolfpack.

Black Knights, with their awesome castles!!

Or maybe Forestmen, to have some "bandit"/rogue faction.

Wow, your avatar looks very... intimidating? I think I'm beginning to understand why some people like the BF so much...

That's your opinion. But I like it, too.
