It is intriguing to say the least. I dug around and found mine, and it's one of the ol' misspelled ones. After reading through this thread, I'm sorry to say, I never noticed the error! :P

Hey,

She responded to my Flickr-mail saying that she edited the photo. So they never produced a different version of this tile. Nothing to see here, move along.

Its interesting... I think that "powerful" is not the best choice of words though... Thats not exactly what a kid needs to hear. I do think that some encouragement is nice though... Seems strange any way you direct it though, to the wizard or to the kid... Maybe the wizard wrote it and is going to send it to a dragon knight or something? His non-existent apprentice? Last one kinda makes sense... I think its cool either way.

To me it always seemed like the message was directed at the wizard. In the set, the wizard is in possession of a tiny dragon. The dragon might seem like a small lizard creature but it's going to grow up to become an incredibly powerful fire breathing beast. And I think that's what the message was indicating.

Sorry to be extremely late on this topic but I actually think the "powerfull" could be intentional, seeing that it's an archaic spelling.* Then again you might have wanted the whole phrase to have a more Middle English feel but that would of course also have made it quite unintelligible to most, while this "powerfull" is still comprehensible but still evokes a by-gone age.

Of course someone might just have messed up, but, hey, I'm a medievalist, I think these things are fun ;)

*Mandatory examples: "My pure powerfull gods I prestly pauoure." (The Wars of Alexander, ca 1450)

"These workers of euyll..cast be they downe: by thy powerfull hand." (Psalter, 1567)

"Whose top-branch..kept low Shrubs from Winters pow'rfull Winde." (Shakespeare)

I totally agree. I always thought it was aimed at the wizard. It reminds me of the now-ended TV programme called Merlin, based on the legends of King Arthur. It's the sort of thing that'd be written on a scroll in Gaius' library ;)
