Just to highlight the new accessories in the blacksmith set with an admittedly poor photoshop edit:

I'm not really sure what the three objects behind the chicken are. The one down and to the left of the chicken almost looks like a new bow mold, but in dark gray? Or is it maybe a saw? Then some sort of hook? And no clue what the other gray blob is.

I posted this link on the first page, but it seems to be getting skipped over (check out the HELMET on the end):

These sets look brilliant, but I really dislike that carriage.

Very cool. So that is a bow - I'm not overly thrilled with either the mold and color - the elf bow from the collectible line is so much cooler. The other elements are truly cool, though. That hook weapon looks really wicked, perfect for an orc. Also cool that it looks as if that game will be a good source of shutter windows as well as the 2x2 tiles with 1 stud in castle colors.

These sets look fantastic. MMV will fit in very well with them. Horses would be much better without all that prining, but glad to see more variety anyways. (Grey horse is still a grey horse)

Do the new weapons look like Megablocks to anyone else? Caue they sure fell like that to me...

It would have been cooler, if the bow came without the arrow. We got that already.

I think it's a longstemmed sickle. Or could be used as one.

Those new utensils/weapons look a bit indifferent in size. Clearly the trigger to produce them was the Heroica game, thus they shoudn't be too big for those microfigs. At the same time they were meant to fulfill multiple purposes, being also usable for regular minifigs, even if a bit small. Either way, they will be useful.

That same thought occurred to me as well, the weapons look more like Brickforge or Little Armory to me than LEGO. At least the weapons are sized better than recent weapons.

I get busy for a couple days and *BOOM* clearer pictures that we can discuss appear. *WOOT* The new pictures merely enhance my desire that was based on .. previous info.
Overall impressions, nice designs with a good piece selection and I am likely to desire multiples of all of them :D
This year looks to be.. expensive with the PoTC and even Alien Conquest themes looking good in addition to the beloved Castle theme representative.

These sets look really awesome! I can't think of anything to say that hasn't already been covered, but just in case lego reads through these forums to see what we think THANK YOU! I will buy them all. Several times over. I was wondering if the horses have new printing or are those stickers? Please don't be stickers.

I'd be extremely surprise if they were stickers.

Thanks Bruce.

The new window piece looks great. I wonder how it will look when put onto the arched opening in a door. Thus making a door within a door so to speak.

All of my back alley establishments will require one. Then the guardian of the gate can give a good grilling before anyone is let in... kinda like Dorothy at the gates of the Emerald City.

Sorry for the double post but I thought I would share this closeup of the box cover for the Mill village Raid set.

Box closeup for Mill Village Raid

You can see the torsos of the peasants very clearly. We obviously get two buckets with the set as well! The ladder type pieces for the windmill are also clear to me now. The other pictures made them look like they were curved in two dimensions to me. It is clear by these photos that it is merely a ladder with no clips that gets wider at the bottom on one side. Interesting piece. You can also see clearly the printing on the grey horse. He is a draft horse. You can see the tufts or feathers around the feet. It would have been awesome if he was bigger than normal horses. (but that is a bit much to ask)

It is becoming clear to me that the dragon knights are the good guys. These peasants have to be up to no good with a barrel of gold like that! :tasty:

Why all the hate on the printed horses?? :? If you want plain white horses there are scads of other sets that have them. I think it's nice to see something different for a change, especially a gray paint. Sure it narrows their use, but so what? Just use them to draw carriages. I think they're cool, but I guess I like the Indian horses too (though I don't have any). Shucks, most Lego horses have bridles printed on them... guess what? That limits their use too... can't be wild horses. Ok, I'll stop now... not sure why this is bugging me so much. If that's the worst complaint with regard to these new sets then I have to conclude that Lego has done a fine job at designing these sets! :)

I wonder how much the farm is going to cost. That's the one I'm primarily interested in (though I really like the dragon knight's horse barding too), so I hope it's not too expensive, as there are a bunch of awesome new sets coming out this year...

I agree. I will use the white horses w/ a red saddle as the royal horses like I use the PoP horse as the Crownie royal horses:

Wrong. Those weapons look nothing like BrickForge weapons. They look more like Megabloks. I agree with the idea that they were made with the Herocia games in mind. There are some awesome parts in the sets and I will be on the look out for them once available. I especially like the new torsos, the shutters, the buckets, and the chickens. The goats are meh. BrickForge could have done better.

Looks like that shutter piece fits in where the window pane should go.

Yuck. I don't like that new bow at all. I'm a bit mixed on the rest of the weapons.
