Escape From Dragon's Prison, a Review

Post by SPACE MARINE »

Hi, I'm back again  I guess I don't really feel welcome or accepted by a large part of this community even though they're great people, I guess I'm just not around much cause I feel out of my league. But enough about that. Today, I share with you a review, a review of the set 7187, Escape From Dragon's Prison.

That music is pretty epic, and I enjoyed the star wars style writing. It's makes reading more exciting!

I think the main attraction about this set is obviously the mounted dragon knight. So it's just a case of buying this, or waiting in the hope that there's a dragon knight/lion knight joust set further down the line.

We can live in hope.

Cheer up :tasty:

I agree, i buyed this set for the minifigs/dragon knight :) and the parts to use in other building. It has 185 parts and if you can find this set on sale then its good buy for the parts. A myself bought this set from France for 13 euro (about 17 $) and that was a bargin cause the price for that set in Finland is about 33 dollars. To bad that I just bought one set.

I buyed this set exactly for the same reason, the mounted dragon knight is excellent (helmet, longshiled, armor and a beautiful barding for the horse). That's a bit disappointing to pay a certain price (20 euros in Belgium, 27,77 USD), but it's the only manner to get this wonderful knight. The set himself is not particularly beautiful in my opinion, but some parts are interesting (it's my first gates like that, for example).

Your ratings seemed generous to me. The pieces are decent, but the actual build was underwhelming ( says the guy who has three of these). The minifigs and barding are great, they're the only reason I bought this set at all.

I will buy another three sets because I wanna 4 mounted Dragon "evil" Knights. I'm trying to make an update to the Prison Tower with more room for more prisoners, maybe for the Lion Knights' King, her daughter, the Queen and the mounted Lion Knight. Then, the Lion Kingdom must negotiate for them. :p

Good review! :) I would like to see every minifig and its faces (if double faced like the Dragon Knight).

If you are buying this set for parts (and I have been) this this is an awesome set!

I am probably a bit biased though because i have several Dragon Knight projects in the works.

Have anyone build the rest of this small prison castle? I guess we only have one side in the set.

That could be a fun challenge.
