What is your favorite castle weapon? For me, all weapons are good in some way, for example, those pikes in the 2009 king's chariot, they are good for taking down horsemen, but not for close combat. My least favored weapon would have to be either the regular sword or the skeleton's sword. Plus the bow is not favored either.

Well, lord of orcs, there was something, although it may not have been anything in Castle Sets. Maybe it was in Medieval Life?
*EDIT* Yep! right here.

So is the question what is our favorite Lego castle weapon or our favorite medieval weapon period? The old thread that
theboywarrior links to was not limitd to LEGO items.
--Favorite Lego weapon:
Scythe Blade with Clip Pommel
--Favorite medieval weapon: Flanged Mace

Since this section of the forum is about castle sets, I assume he means the lego set weapons. My favorite is dead even between the chrome greatsword and the elf longbow. That said I love almost all lego weapons, with the only exception being the yellow heman sword from kk2's first lineup.

Ugh. Really Hoboman? I think that the Scythe Blade is one of my
least favorite weapons. Too big and bulky for my liking.
I'm old-school, so I love bows (the brown ones. Not a big fan of black weapons). I actually like the look of the quiver of arrows so much that I often equip figs with them who don't even have bows/crossbows!

I shoudl clear up one part. I hate, repeat hate the sword that comes with the Orcs. Well hate it as a sword. I love it as a halberd though. But that is a different conversation. So the Scythe Blade became my sword of choice for my favorite army. My Orcs.
I agree with you about the arrow quiver. I like that element and use it even on my Crossbowmen even though they would not use arrows like those.
EDIT: Fixed Type that bugged me.

I'll quite biased towards infantry units and their spears.
One vote for black spears!
I also do have particular liking for the old abs swords and bows though.

Boring, I know, but my favorite weapon is the classic short sword. It's simple, yet very attractive, IMO.
My second favorite weapon has to be the crossbow or regular bow.

I like the Knight's Kingdom silver, gold, and (for lack of a better word) poo Greatswords. Good looking, sturdy, and no paint chips!

Probably the spear, but that's just cause' dragoons from Final Fantasy use spears. In practice, it's a tie between spears and pole axes(the things that are to long for axes but too short for halberds, they're called pole axes)
