I don't want to be rude, but have you even tried to find the answer on the internet by yourself? :?
For example, on Wikipedia you'll find a page on The Hobbit with all this kind of information in English, Simple English and 52 other languages...

Not to mention the book was only written 75 years ago. I can certainly see why people haven't had the chance to get to it yet.

1. Bag End, Bilbo's humble home....
On the one hand, I think you might be asking for too much with some of your suggestions. I think a good way to approach predictions would have to start with the as-yet-unanswered question of where they will break between the two movies. My prediction (based on nothing but my own assumptions) is that the first movie will end after Bilbo escapes from Gollum and emerges into the light. I think at that point he'll be all alone, and the movie will end with this panoramic view as he looks off across Mirkwood and sees the Lonely Mountain in the distance, with a little hint of fire. Okay, assuming that is the break, we're going to have about four or five sets in the first wave to match the movie. Let's consider the major locations/actions along the way:

Bag End - I think this is a no brainer for a set, especially since this didn't come out in wave one of the Lord of the Rings sets.
Troll camp - Again, I agree that this will be a set. As you note, the trailer implies that this will be an action sequence (not like the book), and LEGO already has a troll mold
Rivendell - I doubt it. There's just not enough action going on there. C'mon, are they going to have a set of elves singing tra-la-la-lalley? Or Elrond reading a map. Now on the other hand, in the trailer we see Galadriel at Rivendell with Gandalf, and the rumor is that PJ is going to really play up the whole action of the White Council against the Necromancer (action which is completely off-stage in the book), so maybe, but I still doubt it.
Orc encounter - Good conflict set. LEGO already has orcs. Seems like an obvious set.
Gollum - Key moment in the epic storyline connecting to the Lord of the Rings, and the trailer really plays this up. Expect to see this enshrined in a LEGO set.
-And that's pretty much it if the movie breaks where I suggest. Except ...
Gandalf in Dol Guldur. Yes, this also happens off-stage in the book, but based on the trailer it looks like it will be a pretty pivotal segment. I'm pretty sure we'll see something of this in set form.

So, that's my prediction for wave 1. The only problem is that I don't know what is the 'big' set in that group. Unless they give us a very complete Bag End, or a massive Dol Guldur, these all seem like $19 or $29 sets. Oh, Bilbo, Gollum and some rocks would be a $9 set. But I don't know what will hit the higher price points.

I don't think they will have a high priced set from wave number two. The Helm's deep set will still be on the shelves to fill that role.

it's all good

I am fascinated by the speculation and strong opinions about what LOTR sets will or should come out after the first wave. Speaking for myself, I find that the first wave gets more and more awesome the more I find out about it (I admit I cheat and have been reading the Eurobricks LOTR topic too) so I think all the waves will be awesome, whatever they do or don't include. It's all good. :D I just wish I could afford all the LOTR first wave sets. Unfortunately, my budget will probably limit me to the Mines of Moria,Uruk-Hai Army, and bricklinking some odds and ends.

I'm definitely getting the mines of Moria, along with Gandalf's cart. The old wizard has to be the top favored wizard in all movie history.

Eurobricks has posted a hi-res photo of 9476 The Orc Forge (exclusive to Target? I hear??):

Smaller Bricklink/Grogall image:

Bricklink image link, for the big image (too big for C-C):

The only problem I can see is that one Mordor Orc has been mutilated to fit his helm; he's got no ears or hair. Seriously, only one set of ear/hair?

I'm going to just guess that if it is a Target Exclusive as I have heard, and the part/figure count reflects anything from other licensed sets, it should be around $29-35. If Toys R Us features it, it would likely be $49-55 :orc:

Let us pray that the Target rumor is true.

Geeze. It says hard to find on the box itself. :(

That "hard to find" on this set supposedly means that TLG will limit this sets availability, that sucks. :(
Ofcourse this set would have been otherwise an army builder and hardcore fans and resellers would have bought them of the shelves immediately they come out, so I understand TLGs logic

The shields in the Orc Forge set have hand prints on them. #win

If possible, and pending the price of who gets to sell it, I'll likely pick up a few of these.

The Uruk-Hai Army set is still my main bulk set purchase, though. So many minifigs and the inclusion of the new horse is too good.

Target and $39.95 USD is the word on the Orc Forge.

I will buy one... but at that price and only 4 figs, I can do without multiples. The printed armor is incredible and I like the olive cheese slopes. The rest of the parts are useful but easily obtained so I can't justify the price for this set. I may try to pick up extra armor on bricklink. My guess would be the armor is going to sell at a premium! If the price is different I may rethink the value of the Orc Forge.

I am really disappointed that there is no standard of any kind with a white hand on it in this wave of sets. A large Uruk army without any standards is going to look blah... I hope they still release one but most of the large uruk army scenes have already been represented in the current wave of sets.

I agree that a standard is a must. I guess we still have Minas Tirith for this.

Sadly, that price (as disagreeable as I may find it) seems in accordance with the several others sets that went up on Toys 'R Us that I noticed yesterday given its piece count.

They're already sold out, but here is a link for those interested: http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp ... 54197&sr=1

Like you, though, I will be skipping out on multiples of this set, especially if the Uruk-Hai Army set price of $34.99 USD becomes the standard for all retailers. That's my bread and butter set.

While I'd like more armors and shields with the hand print on it, I don't think it will be too bad considering the group will already consist of Uruk-Hai, and two different colored Orcs.
