A big chunk of my collection is from the Fantasy era, but I collect others too. My oldest goes as far back as the late 80's , so don't have the blacksmith, armor shop, or all that other good stuff. I have most of the Fantasy era sets ( think I'm missing several, the village being one of them) and several Kingdoms sets.

Lego castle has such a long history. I hardly knowing anything after the Fright Knights. I did buy Knight Lord's Castle and that was the end of my lego castle history until I started getting old sets. I started my collection in 1988 and it was clear from the 1987 idea book that I missed out on a lot of stuff. I had a bunch of Crusader sets and for 20 years they never had a castle in my collection and it drove me insane. I also had the Dragon Master's main castle (Fire Breathing Fortress) and Majesto's workshop. But yeah, lego got too lame in the Fright Knight years and after that it seemed the whole original castle, pirate, and space line seemingly were ended or just too grossly changed and I abandoned lego. I think I was like 16 or 17 at this point. My knowledge of lego castle beyond the Fright Knights is very blurry and I have don't have much interest in it (mostly because it was a different universe from classic castle at that point).

I have a pretty decent collection of classic sets too. The Royal King's castle is sitting proudly on a piece of furniture where every one can see it. I have a jumble of old sets which are from a half- dozen different factions, but they make a large part of my castle collection. I agree with you that the fright knights were a pretty low point for castle, although I have the Witch's Magic Manor which is cool but overall the theme was pretty lame compared with the old ones.

I have multiples of most of the sets you have listed. Like others I would only list what I am missing.

Of the sets you listed I have all but one the 1985 prisoner convoy. Like Ben I am missing a couple of minifig sets from the early 80's.

After 1985 to present I am only missing a couple of hard to find exclusive type of sets. I am missing a couple of those shell gas fright knight sets from 1998 and a couple of Japanese exclusives from Kabayas sweets in 2000.

Strangely enough I do not own a single one of the Ninja sets. I know these are included in the castle line but I do not consider them to be so...
