(SPOILER!)

Saw the movie, and really loved it. I guess the spiders & barrels have been pushed back to movie #2. Looking at what we've got, I really wish Azog (main white orc) & an eagle would have made it in Warg attack. I really liked seeing Elrond in his red armor. Maybe there is still hope we will get another warrior figure of him yet. (Battle of the 5 armies?)

It's too bad that the split into three movies came so late. They could have pushed the barrels & spiders back to next year, then added maybe a Rivendale set with an armored Elf horseman, armored Elrond, and a cool little domed structure. Another set I'd love to see is Radagast & his cool tree house and/or bunny sledge. I love that guy!

I am finding myself with a problem. I only bought one LOTR set and wasn't tempted to buy others. But these Hobbit sets are like addictive. I can't seem to stay away from them. Which is just crazy for me. I could care less about the figs and probably will sell or trade those away, but the sets, oh such nice things are in these sets. The parts...oh the parts. My LUG drafted that elf set...and oh the parts...mmmmmmmmmm.

So...having said that "Hi. I am Blue. I am an addict...of Hobbits sets and Monster Fighters sets..." I shall try and start some kind of 12 set program to reduce my addiction so I can avoid the "going cold turkey" approach.

I saw the movie as well, and I thought that from the sets that actually corrospond with the first part, they are a great interpretation of what I saw.

After watching the film I wish there was if anything, more sets. Lots of awesome scenes and scenarios that would've translated well to the brick especially the -SPOILER- Necromancer/Azog/Radaghast stuff -SPOILER-.

Hopefully TLG will retroactively release sets for the first film with the next wave.

Gee... we have to wait for Boxing Day to see it. Oh well, second last day of work and this week I've had my three sets from TRU US arrive and I've build Helm's Deep (very good build) and the Uruk-hai Army. Shall build Moria with the misses by the weekend.

Think I'll wait for the Hobbit sets to come down in price before picking any up. Shall probably be paying a bit for shipping so happy to wait. Want to get the new winter village scene too  for our Christmas scene.

*SPOILER*

Saw the movie last night finally. I wonder if the Azog scene at the end of the movie was changed when they decided to split it into 3 movies. I picked up the Warg Attack set last week and noticed the character on the box was labeled "Yanzeg" or something like that. Makes me wonder if they decided to give Azog a bigger role in the movies after the sets were designed and changed a few scenes to incorporate him instead. I may have missed it, but I don't remember seeing anybody else in the movie named Yanzeg and riding around on a white warg.

My speculation is Azog will be the big bad guy they have to fight at Battle of 5 Armies.

i don't know if it was because of the split in 3 movies or that TLG choose to make it like this because Azog is bigger than the regular Orc and they didn't want to make a new kind of mold.
Me too saw it last night and I feelt that this was strange also, because Yazneg was the Orc who failed to catch the dwarfs in the first scene at the secret pass and the one tha Azog then throwed to the Wargs.

I read that Yazneg was to have a bigger role in the first movie, but they CGI'd over him with Azog once they decided that there needed to be a more prominent opponent for Thorin.
