Someone said that it may be due to the 'plate on plate' building techniques, so a seperator is provided to avoid frustration or damage!

In other news Brickset is reporting that the 2013 Castle sets are in the wild!

Too bad we are about to cut back to one income as my wife is starting a graduate program this fall. Bye-bye discretionary spending

I can't find them! I guess it's one of the cons of living in a rural area, we can't get anything new! As a matter of fact, I've only seen series 9 in stores 1 time when at least 10 nearby stores should have them!

We have them at our TRU here in the Seattle area. A new friend I made in the Lego aisle at Fred Meyer just went and picked up the whole collection last weekend (except for the dragon tower, which hasn't been released yet, apparently)

Wasn't nw9000 was it? He's used some in his GC4 entry.

Nope. A new member who was previously a lurker. He has a big army of Crownies so I'm recruiting him for Garheim

There also seems to be a couple of LOTR pirate ships for sale (genuine 'in hand' pictures by the looks of it) so guess they must be on the shelves somewhere as well. Or didn't quite make it to the shelves.

Sheesh! $28??? Are people really in such a hurry to get these that they're willing to pay 2.5 MSRP just to have them in-hand a few days early? :o

Castle 2013 sets are available at the Burlington LEGO store in Burlington, MA.

They seem to have every one of them in stock, from the Forest Ambush to King's Castle. The area they were in was really tightly compacted, I almost missed it!

I picked up the Gatehouse Raid and The Wizard Battle yesterday. The crown flags that come with the Gatehouse Raid are stickers. Bit disappointed with that aspect.

Saw the new LOTR and Castle sets at TRU the other day, only picked up the Forest Ambush, decent little set. But I'll wait till they are available elsewhere to get any others b/c there is such a markup at TRU.
