According to Brickset the sets are starting to show up on shelves in Canada, and maybe other places, so it looks like Sidersdd got all of them. Here's his pic of Thranduil. To me the ears look low, but not ridiculously so.

My favorite fig is the statue. I want several of these.

He's got good pics of the fronts and backs of all of the torsos, and also the shields.

I agree, Thranduil's ears are unnaturally, low, I don't really like that. :? That statue is just awesome, I want those as well! So many fantastic uses!

That's too bad about the Beorn headpiece. The Mirkwood Elf set looks like a must-have for everyone; the brown warg and the green hoods are boss.

With that side shot the ears are not low. They are right in the middle of the lego head, if you look the top of the ear is in line with the eyebrow as it should be. Its an illusion. Because of the crown an how it sits the ears appear lower then they are. Take away the crown in your mind and it would look fine. If you put the ears higher an took the crown away they would be to high.

Yes that is unfortunite about the beron hair/head combo. Laketown is midway on my list, however i will be getting the mirkwood elf set, have to build up my forestmen somehow!

Dude..... Why would they do that????? I wonder if a bit of work with a dremel could make it accept a fig head. That is really maddening though.

Andhe and Bruce, thanks for the shots.

Andhe that Beorn is so upsetting. Would It have been too hard for TLG to make the head and hairpiece separate? That really, really, REALLY limits the playability and customization. We are stuck with one facial expression and a non moving hairpiece. For shame!

I still stand by my statement that Thranduil's ears are far too low. However, the side picture reveals they aren't as low as previously thought. He's only partially deformed

No no NO! Why? The look of Beorn (not LEGO's fault) is annoying anyway, but this makes the fig ten times worse! That head looks like it could be really useful
The sets themselves are actually pretty good, though the Elf Army set (not including the figs) doesn't look the best.

Hm, yep I'm skipping the Beorn set. The Mirkwood Outpost is still top on my list so far, the other two sets look alright. I agree with Bruce the statue looks pretty sweet and very useful. I'd like to see a comparison shot of the new orcs with the Mordor ones. The variety of the skin tone is nice.

@Andhe, wow, now that I see that, I don't want Beorn (not like I did in the beginning). I agree with Aeridian, the Mirkwood elves is on the top of my list, and Dol Guldur also.

Hmm, that would be cool to see a comparison between them, the variety is very nice.

Ordered Mirkwood Army and the big Dol Guldur set from ToysRUs this week with 15% off and free shipping. Should get them before Thanksgiving. Yay!

Guys, The Brick Show on YouTube has reviews of them out, if you wanna see those. I almost want lake town just for the hairpieces and the boat. :)

They had the polybag for the Laketown Guard on the TRU site yesterday, so I ordered the max of 4. I hope they don't get cancelled. I love that guy, and it's a shame that there is only one in the Laketown set. hopefully he'll show up again in the third movie sets, cause I want at least a dozen of him.

Agreed, Laketown is near the very top of my list of wants! Did lego really make a black "Qui-Gon Jinn" hair for Bard? :o I really hope so, because I love that hair!

Nice didn't think they would be out all ready. I am really going to want to get some of them.
