I didn't even know that there were going to be polybags for the guard and Legolas. Hopefully they will be easier to find than the Mirkwood Elf polybag was!

No kidding! I was only able to get a couple of the Mirkwood Elves when they came out. The guard doesn't interest me that much, even though I might pick a few up, but I really want to get multiple of Legolas. I hope I can actually find some.

I just ordered 4 copies of the Laketown Guard (30216) from TRU online, sight unseen :P
(they just came back in stock, if you tried earlier to get some)

Does anyone know what the contents of those polybags are going to be? I haven't found any pics yet.

I saw a pic of the guard on a European lego site. He's the same as the one in LC, but is equipped as an archer instead of a pikeman. I've been notified that mine have shipped, and are due on Monday!

I think so. Based on Brickset (I think), that is the correct item number for it.

I wonder what else will come in the polybag. The tree and stuff that came with the Mirkwood Elf poly were nice bonuses.

The photo shown here clearly shows the two Laketown guards as separate entities.

Thanks AK! I jumped in on four of them and threw in the Star Wars Y-Wing as the red hot deal (I've wanted one for a while but definitely not at $59.99). With it I was able to get free shipping. Cannot wait to get these bad boys in!

I almost bought gatehouse raid, but it didn't quite take me to free shipping, so I just bought the bullet and paid the $8 shipping cost. Now that I have a few on the way, I will try to see if any of the TRU's in the area have some that I can scoop up without paying shipping. Hopefully it is worth it, as with shipping and tax, they cost me almost $7.50 each :P

I guess I can probably resell one if I'm not in love with them to recoup $10-15 though, based on how the Mirkwood ones sold on 2ndary market.

I could be wrong, but isn't the Legolas pictured the same as the one in the Mirkwood Spiders sets? If so, he's available for (relatively) dirt cheap on BL. Certainly less than the $4.99 pricetag, and definitely not worth $20 a pop at resale prices for the polys.

I also saw at two local Kmarts the new Hobbit sets. They were at both stores.

Good spot ak, However I am hoping for some extras like the tree in the mirkwood poly. Time will tell.

Yeah, depending on what is included, the $4.99 could be a really decent price. I probably wouldn't pay too much more than $7 for it on resale market though, unless they are REALLY good extras. The non-fig stuff in the Mirkwood bag probably wasn't worth more than $3, I'd estimate.

I'm anticipating the Lakewood Guard fig to be more spendy than Legolas on BL due to people wanting to army-build them as well as the fact that the guard only comes in the poly and a $50 set, vs. the $30 Mirkwood Spiders set that Legolas comes in.

Anyway, just my 2 cents ;)
