Cool trick for Castle 2013

In the castle 2013 line there are a lot of duplicate figs, for instance the Dragon knights in kings castle are the exact same ones we get in forest ambush and the gatehouse raid. And I know lots of people get multiple copies of forest ambush. So it's kinda fun to make new combos with the existing fig parts. For instance, I switched the heads of the ax knight and the armored knight from kings castle, and swapped the black lightsaber piece ax handle for on of the extra staff pieces. He looks really awesome, and he's my favorite fig except maybe the armored lion knight from the gatehouse raid. Tell me about any cool comboes you make :eyebrows:

Do you have a picture of this minifigure you could show us?

I swap heads, etc. around a lot too, which is good as I have multiple sets so a lot of figs. I'd like a picture too :)

I mainly try to swap heads to add variety to my troops, though it's almost impossible not to have a few guys sharing the same head once your army starts to number in the hundreds :P

I also try to give my troops a general "look" with respect to what heads I use. For my LCC troops, for example, I try to give my Garhims heads with facial hair (including adding full beard pieces), and Loreesi are generally clean-shaven. Lenfels get some of each, since they reside between Garheim and Loreos.

What about outlaws AK? They have mean faces, are bare chested, and have crude weapons, right?

They smell, too! Don't forget that key characteristic!

It is fun, but what I would really like is for them to make new heads. I mean, in one set, you can get like 5 of the exact same head, which is annoying. :? But, it is fun to make combos, as long as you don't loosen pieces in the process!

Ok, cool! I do the same sort of thing, and if I use figs in a MOC I make them look different by adding hair, extra weapons/armour, etc. :)

Yeah, same with me. For my "human catapult" MOC, I took the great helm off one of the armored dragons, gave him Agent Chase hair, and put a red cape on him. You can see it on my Flickr.(although I think you already did, because you commented.

I used the Kingdoms Dragon knight's leg armor and old Fright Knight torsos along with the new ones. The color scheme is basically the same, but it gives it some old spice.
