Post by Glencaer »

Jake is setting us straight.

perhaps our over-reactions were a bit too soon? hmm?

Let me be the first to say I was wrong.

constraction figures, eh. They're still Crapola in my book.

And about the pirate, if they discontinued Jack Stone, why make another line with those figs, weird.

They just discontinued the name "Jack Stone". The figs will survive. Obviously.

*is hyper* :D :D :D :D :D :D

IMHO, he has pretty much said that we WILL be getting at least SOMETHING.

So, why don't we just cease all discussion, on the crapstraction figures, eh? Obviously they don't affect us! (I hope...)

That is a relief, as one of the major over-reactors to the original rumor, I must say that I still feel some trepidation about whatever new castle sets will be produced. Most of us can remember the decline of actual technic sets after the rise of Bionicle. Lets hope that doesn't happen in this case. I have my fingers crosses about the possibility of a banner year for Castle, but with the new grays, even that possible enthusiasm will be slightly muted.

Relieved and calmed a little bit...

So Castlidor will not replace Castle theme?!?! Oh...

*puts away AK-47s and Type-69 RPG*

Anyhow, I hope the new Castle they are refering to will come out later in 2004. Fall season perhaps?

*uses powers*

I see the new Castle theme having something red, perhaps their color scheme.

sigh.....
That's exactly what I tried to say 4 or 5 times.
Bionicle knights isn't Castle. bionicle Knights is bionicle.
Nobody wanted to hear me (or nobody understood what I was saying  )

At first I thinked it was the same, but I soon realise it is not the same. So we can stop panicking.

Thank you very much Lego for these informations...

A "banner year" for Castle? That is quite a strong statement. I guess that means we'll see some new Castle stuff around the fall? I had suggested that the large "bio-knights" might be a way to attract more attention to a minifig scaled castle line, I'm glad that is starting to sound more like what will happen.

Anyway, this is supposed to be a "banner year". When was the last "banner year" for Castle? 1984? The 1984 line followed a few years of no castle and spawned some wonderful Castle sets with new parts, new minifigs, and new colors (grey instead of yellow).

They say that history repeats itself, and we already know that "followed a few years of no castle" and "new colors" stuff will be true. Hopefully the rest will follow suit.

*wonders who the patron saint of lego castles is*

i offer that we still make our theme, but have it be a celebration/anticipation rather than a protest!

This is very good news to say the least. However, because Lego will still be putting emphasis on this "bionicastle", will that be taking away from castle as we know it?

Just the same, I am VERY relieved. Now it's back to the discusion of "will the sets be good ones or junk?"

Long Live Castle!
