Juniors - Knight's Castle

There is now a picture of the(Junior)Knights Castle on Bricksets http://brickset.com/sets/10676-1/Knights-Castle

Three figs useless parts no saddle. Admittedly this is for younger kids so shouldn't be complaining I do however like the bucket it comes in . Some other good parts about it is has more flags than the actual Kings Castle and the king has a soldier torso which makes him more useful and horses are always nice. It also looks like there is a ghost could always use more of those. Not a great set but If I find one on sale I may pick one up.

If I was 4/5, I would really want that Juniors set! For the target audience, it looks great! I may also pick one up if I see it on sale.

I like the look of the Junior's bucket. A knight from each side, a king, and someone locked up in the jail by the look of it as well. The blue edging pieces are nice, and I like the inclusion of a Dragon Knight catapult of similar design to the Lion Knight one from Dragon Mountain. While not being the most engaging of sets for an adult, it does seem to hold some value for younger LEGO fans, and is still of use for me at least. And is it just me, or does the mystery man in the jail look sort of... Green?

This set and the junior's castle line deserve their own topic. I split these posts from the previous discontinued castle theme thread.

Thanks,

Wow, am I reading the price right? $49.99? Doesn't that seem a bit high? I might pick on up for half that if I see it at Wal-Mart or Target on sale. I wonder who's in the cell; is it a skeleton or a knight?

As I mentioned it looks like a ghost which would be nice but if it's night that would weird. Why would the night be in there own jail?

It appears to be a skeleton from some of the other pictures. Whether it comes with the ghost 'shroud' as well I'm still trying to find out...

Does anyone else have the thought...if they are going to go junior castle, maybe we will get castle that isn't so "juniorized" next line? Okay maybe that is hopeful thinking. This isn't a set I would buy. I might for a gift for a little one. And I don't actually like the bucket. I have too many of these different buckets that don't stack on each other and then fall over.

I agree, the price of $50 does seem a little steep. I figure this Castle Juniors line will mostly be mined by AFOLs for unique elements (unique colours and/or uniquely printed pieces). I'm guessing that all the wall panels you see with decorations are printed elements (not stickers), as is the case with the no-stickers Juniors Batcave set (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=10672-1).

I remember the juniorized 5929-1 Kingdoms themed set (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=5929-1) was an easy way to get the old flare helmet in new bley

It is indeed a skeleton. I happened to see a good, clear shot over at this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.p ... try1865356. Now to just wonder what style of arms it gets...

Does anyone have pics of the backside of this set? It looks like there is a small cache of weapons or some sort of formal room space (from the front of the box)? This is an interesting set, and I've just discovered that my three-year-old is adept at putting together these Junior sets all by himself (with oral guidance from the instructions, of course. :) :eyebrows: ), and this set might make for a fine entry for his/(our) collection.

Thanks for the eurobrick page link! I happened to notice the Junior photos for the Ninja Turtles lair there, and we would definitely love to add that to our collection as well! :D

Well it looks like it is now on Lego.com

Taking a closer look at it it seems as it has a fair bit of nice pieces but still not good enough for full price maybe if I see one on sale I'll get one.
