I'm loving the hennin on the princess! Now if they could release some accurate 11th c. Female dress, I would be even happier!

I am SO glad that regular figs are back...not sure I want to spend the fortune it will cost me, but I like the whole line of figs more than the last several lines.

Great series all around. Really looking forward to picking up a few of the princesses and wizards.

I wonder if we're going to see that new wizard hat take over for the old tried and true wizard hat? Either way, it's nice to get some variety going.

Lots of great looking figures and parts! Some I am interested in:

Game controller tile
Red binoculars
Hun Shield
Catniss... Er, Dino Hunter head
Space miner drill and helmet

Really happy with this series. Maybe a break from regular CMFs was needed. Series 10 and 11 were starting to feel uninspired. I think I'll buy a box and then collect extras of the Space Miner.

The designers created a great group of castle figures this time. The swashbuckler is also a nice figure. I am not crazy about the inflated list price. It will be interesting to see what the box breakdown is for this series.

This looks like a good set. How does one go about aquireing an unopened box of figures?

I've always gotten mine on eBay. Used to work out to $2.50 each after shipping. Some sellers on BrickLink also offer them. I am not sure if there is a way for regular people (non-retailers) to buy sealed boxes directly.

I haven't bought a box lately because prices seemed to spike around Series 10 and the new figure distribution model sucks for buying boxes. Used to get 3 full sets in a box; now you get two full sets and more extras of the common figures. Curious to see how the pricing and figure distribution turns out for series 12.

There are two different sized cases now. There is the traditional case with 60 figs. And now they sell a smaller case with 30. You are guaranteed with the box of 30 that you will get each fig. I know people who buy them off Amazon. I get mine from Bricklink...usually imported from Europe without the box because I don't really care about having yet another box in my life to deal with. That is when I actually go for a box. Mostly I just go to my local Walgreens...yes I said Walgreens...and buy what they have. Little known fact that they get both the figs and the Friends polybags...something I shouldn't have mentioned for now the LEGO piggies in my town my pounce. Then I supplement when I head to the LEGO store, or TRU. Then if there is still more, I head to Bricklink for the last few.

The thing is...with the price of these figs...and a parent looking at a Mixel being about the same...I can see parents saying buy the Mixel instead...hypothetically making these fig easier to find. But to be honest...I might actually do the same. Mixels are a better deal...which brings about this point...maybe I'm completely done with the collecti figs. I'm drowning in figs. My once modest collection of them has taken over and is insane. It now takes forever to find a torso or a fig...and I've had to sort them into types of figs now so I can find things easier. Which brings me back to the thought...oh look...a Mixel! Or...in my case...ooooh Friends Jungle sets! or OOOOH Princesses!!!

I know the figure distribution was changed to accommodate the 30-boxes, so I expect them to continue using the newer fig distribution if 30-boxes are going to continue. I think Simpsons used the old (IMO better) figure distribution because maybe they didn't do 30-boxes for that series?

Never knew about Walgreens. I tend to avoid that place, but maybe it's worth a look sometime.

If this serries is at the higher price point I just dont see it selling very well at all. If that is the case then bring back decent poly bags! Yes I have been buying mixels to part out, fairly good parts, for the price. I am still not sold on the princess sets however. Still to many pannels for me. Waiting for clearence to get a couple.

One thing to watch at walgreens, some prices can be a bit inflated but not horriable. I havent bought from them because they never have what I am looking for, had better luck at target.
