I really like the shield tiles. There is also one on the front of 30372.

These sets are weird. Awesomely weird, I would even say. I really am liking the visors, from what I can see. The new shield tile, well, I want it in black. It looks cool.

As a Space builder, I want that cockpit part on 70315. And I hope it someday comes in more colours, specifically trans neon green. The sets don't call to me parts wise, or set wise, but the good guy figs really do interest me. I also didn't hate KK2, so make of that as you will.

As said on BrickPirate in my natural language:

Get ready for the third jellybeans' batch, with colorful armors and hovershields which Marty McFly would be jealous of!

Maybe the new helm mold would have been interresting, but not in those colours it is introduced here, the visors although may add variety to any castle collection since their metallic look will match more realistic verse too. :)

Those guys at Lego seem to have come to "Le Puy du Fou" on their last holidays to copy the concept of the moving castle.

The book can be handheld by a minifig both closed and opened. At least it looks like it can.

If no other "classic" castle line is released beside this for the next three years, it won't hurt my budget much, which is good news, unless my son would want some for himself.
This will let me concentrate on the humans "castle" sets, and the '80/'90 Legoland castle ones.

As for the Ninjago, I would guess success will depend on how they catch the public attention with the background and storyline, and we know how well they did. There's no reason why they won't succeed, even if getting just pictures of the sets may leave us dubious about it.

Little baddies are quite fun, indeed.

I am looking forward to this new sub theme of Castle. It combines two classic themes and adds an interesting twist! I love castle and space. Although, I see more of a futuristic/ alternate universe for castle. As if the world never came out of medieval times, yet kept progression of technology.

What does everyone think of the different Nexo Knights? I am hoping as they release sets the Knights are tied to different/home fractions. Since they all have a different emblem that represents them. It would make the possibilities of play more interesting as "good" could battle "good."

Each Nexo Knight would just be the best and most noble knight of that fraction.

I noticed the Fortrex and and regular knights have the lion emblem, but none of the Nexo Knights do...

Also, anyone read about the set 70333 Ultimate Robin? Return of a Forestmen fraction?

The idea of more than two factions, and, knights wearing their own coat of arms while fighting for the king is surprisingly more realistic than anything that has been released for many decades in the "classic castle" themes.

I wouldn't say Forestmen, but Wolfpacks, since the Wolf is the emblem Robin has printed on his clothes.

I figured it may be their own coat of arms... But not standard to what Lego does.

The Wolf emblem belongs to the character Aaron, not Robin according to the Lego website... Maybe just a change in name.

As I already said, Lego used to give some soldiers/knights their own coat of arms, from the yellow castle on to the crusaders/knights sets (with crossed axes as a generic coat of arms in some sets).

Someone in the sources for new sets put up to evidence of some hints/analogy in the character's names, so for Aaron, it is arrow, that can make you think about Robin. ;)
Anyway, a deer suited well forestmens that were not heavily armored, and clothing in green and brown (shields were also assumed wooden, since moulded in brown), with armors and steel weapons, a wolf is closer to the color scheme.

It looks like a cross between Poochie and Funzo… A realistic, down-to-earth show... that's completely off-the-wall and swarming with magic robots, cuddly and packed with firepower.

Actually, it is a bit like a train wreck: its awful, but I can't stop looking at every photo that comes out...

While I am happy that there are some new pieces that may be usable for castles, I much prefer the classic castle line. This new Nexo Knights doesn't do a lot for me.

Dang even I come out of hiding when something new hits the Castle Theme at LEGO.

So I have known about Nexo since about July or August and I have to say I am both bummed and excited. Bummed because for me I really want a Castle Theme that involves very little knights and kings, and more focus on the day to day middle age life. Kingdoms last wave with the barn and windmill (the name escapes me at the moment) and the like were great. I wouldn't mind more of that stuff.

Now that my gripe(which will forever be my gripe lol) is done. Castle that isn't typical Castle makes me happy. (Back to the Future x Middle Ages)+ a little Steampunk influence= Nexo Knights and there are enough good things to make me want a good bit of em. New pieces usually make me happy but new concepts also make me happy. I know a lot of old school castle people are gonna hate it, but hey someone will always hate what happens in the Castle realm. If you don't like it for the sets, at least there is always parts to be used elsewhere.

And Bruce.....If I get access to a horde of those 1x1's you pictured, I will send you a small stash of them.

Though I'm sure they'll wait to see about it's popularity first, but... is this planned to be a one-shot series or something that will continue for a few years?

I don't think they've said, but I think we can expect at least 2-3 years, since they are investing the time and $ to make a TV show, sets, app, etc. This really goes along with things like Ninjago, Chima, etc, though Ninjago has been stretched out due to its popularity (and most importantly continuing sales).

I'm liking in someway the new castle-tech idea with Nexo Knights, the minifigures armors reminds me of that one of the Space Marine from Lego Minifigures Series 7, and is glad to see some of the old faction coat of arms in there. The first impression that I got from this new theme was :o , mainly about the mobile castle idea. Probably many kids and teen users of lego combined their Galaxy Squad, Star Wars and Castle bricks to get something like this new theme.

At the moment, I'm aiming for the 70312 and 70315. However, the big robot horse in the first set could be improved by doing some tweaks and probably these two sets can be built into a bigger one and look really awesome.

About the new pieces, looks like the new visors can be attached to the regular helmets, adding new possibilities to the lego universe. The bodysuits of the new heroes looks that can match any space playing (that's cool!). I'd like that Lego add the heroes hair pieces in further sets (like in the Ninjago theme). The new Axl's body looks impressive! I'll follow to have him in the collection too.

Congrats to Lego for bringing Nexo Knights :)

I understand as an adult I am probably in the minority here, but I love this line. The trans-orange just does it for me. Lots of nostalgia from Ice Planet, a line I loved growing up with.

I don't normally buy every set of a series, but I feel like I will with this line. It's a line that I really enjoy so far, and as others have stated, the weirdness is all the more appealing to me.

Hey,

Huw at Brickset got a copy of the small set 30372 Robin's Mini Fortrex - not sure if it's showing up in the wild yet or if he got this as a review copy.
