Not a bad little set. The price was reasonable, two shields and three crossbows were nice and the fig was decent. Compared to any of the smaller sets since then, the price point was definitely better. The design like all crossbow carts was pretty lame so all told I'd give it a 6/10 then and 8/10 now mostly due to price point.

This is a pretty cool set...you get a solider some weapons...and if you're like me and are desperate to get wheels for carts here's a good source of them...and it's Fright Knights so you get those sweet Bat Shields...

Sir Vincent gives the Crossbow Cart a 9.9/10...

Not the best of sets, but a useful source of weapons and figs if you buy a lot. 8/10.

Considering that this set is a Fright Knights, it's stinking good: three crossbows, quiver, two (oval!) shields, really useful fig, etc... Of course, the design of the cart is very simple: a board on wheels. Playability is dirt poor too..

Parts: 4/10
Playability: 4/10
Minifig/Accessories: 8.5/10
Design (then): 4/10
Design (now) 5/10

Overall Score:5.1/10

This has got to be my lowest-scored set yet...

As others have said, pretty lame as set design goes, very good for army building/equipping. In this it is similar to Axe Cart 4806:

I got a bunch of those on clearance once for army building.

Hello!

Nice fig.

For parts it's OK, though I don't like crossbows too much.

Well if the price was resonable I would have cetainly bought this. It has a nice pieve assortment and has a useful fig. Unfortunantly I was not into castle when this came out. A 9/10 :D

Although I regard all Fright Knights sets in a level slightly above junk, this one does have some practical applications if you just scrap it. The crossbows are nice if you like them, the wheels could be of help, and the torso on the fig is kinda cool. I haven't looked at LEGO catalogs or sets in a long time, so I find Bruce's link a little disturbing. I continue to hold to the opinion that Fright Knights were definately the beginning of the end for the castle line.

I'll give it an 7/10 if you just scrap it.

A silly design, not very realistic. Crossbows would be hard to aim and reload attached to a heavy cart. This set was reasonably priced, and had good parts, though.

A very nice set. I admit that the design isn't great, but when you are still at an age when you are interested in playing, it doesn't really matter if its accurate of not. As for pieces, awesome. It has three crossbows, two big shields, one spear, one quiver, and one great dude. Also it has wheels, which can always be used. I give it 9/10. A good set.

A great army builder, comes with three crossbows and a quiver, a spear, a minifig, and two shields. not very realistic to have one guy pushing around a cart with it on, but o well.
Time to go nighty night mister west.

This is a decent little set. Three crossbows, AND a quiver! The design is a bit less than super, but not the worst ever...

I love this torso! (as many may know I have a peronal faction of these guys, see my "wanted ad")

So, if these were still around I would have to gobble them up, especially at clearance prices!

Pretty decent fright knight set. One good figure, two pretty good shields, a spear, two wagon wheels (always nice), three crossbows, and a quiver. The design is silly, but when have we ever gotten a good set design for this price?

Interesting that this guy needs a quiver for his crossbows, when none of the other crossbowsmen seem to get them...

Crossbows, shields and a decent fig - oh my!

Great accessories for a good price. I mean, did anyone really buy these things for the design? (Frightknights). I was just wondering the other day where those yellow headlight pieces came from ... & here is the answer!

& a guy with a crossbow and a quiver! wow
