Join the Spacey Castle set review discussion. Please post your opinions on the set play ability, piece selection, design, etc. Which sets stand up to our laser-catapult of critique and which ones crumble in shame!

This week’s set is 70327 The King's Mech.

This 2016 set was the first to include King Halbert. The left hand of the mecha detaches to become a separate fighter. There's an extensive review of this set on Brickset.

Not a bad design overall. The weakest part is the detachable hand-ship. Its a bit big and clunky looking. A decent parts pack. Hard to build a proper space ship or castle out of this, but if you want to build those Knight-Mechs, then this is a great set!

This is a good design but could have been better. :)

I think that can be said for a lot of castle and "so called castle" sets. We build more complex and violate the "LEGO Building rules" they have for designing sets. I think it is why I haven't a so called castle set since Prince of Persia, which some people wouldn't classify as castle.
