not a bad "little" army you got there sir. I really like the quiver idea on the sadle. Is that a lightsaber handle holding it on?

Nope, 1x4 Antennas. Tan is for the Mongols, Lt. Gray for the Chinese. Thinking of making some cavalry-archers for the Persians, and Hittites.

Thats pretty much what I said elsewhere when I saw this. In my lego town, I try to avoid using colors like magenta and purple unless it is cloth-oriented. How on earth am I going to explain purple armor?David Girard wrote:Hmmm. I'm asking me. It's like a combination between Harry Potter sets, Fright Knights and Royal Kingdoms sets...
I imagine it was not suppose to be realistic. The 8779 set for example. If I remember well, motors didn't exist in medieval time. On 8780 there is green and purple armor !!! What is this ! And 8780 had a bad looking.
8781 has a nice not bad looking however, but blue and red armor are also very strange. And what is this catapult(8777) ???
What Lego Group is trying to do ? I don't understand. Worste than worste. I'm disappointed. There is so much good creators in Lego Castle community. I don't understand why they put things like this on market. Lego group is lost and we can't do much for them, except complain.
I was hoping nice sets when they said there will be castle in 2004, but now I'm more than disappointed.
I don't understand Lego point of view. They should explain us

Sounds like we have some questions for Jake. We should figure out how to phrase them so they dont come across like pointless complaining. Im sure TLC has good reasons for this type of set. We just dont know what they are yet. I hope

Now that I can see better pic of these sets, here's what I think
This one looks good. Pointy visors, a barding, and a horse. If I can get it on discount, I might get a few.

Not too good, but some nice pieces (with an even nicer shield! )
http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/imag ... k/8779.jpg
Yuck. I'm not going much farther then that.
EDIT: There is a nice Chinese pke there though

Nice pieces (especally those castle walls) but otherwise a bad set
http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/imag ... k/8781.jpg
I don't like it, but it does have some worthwhile pieces
All these sets to me look like they put in all the leftover pieces from other sets and added a few more. I hope TLC comes to its senses pretty soon. Not only are these sets unappealing, they are too expensive.

Great as a parts pack. Large black cowl.http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/imag ... k/8778.jpg

Nothing new to add. Parts pack on sale.http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/imag ... k/8779.jpg

I think this has some redeeming qualities.http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/imag ... k/8780.jpg

It'll be far too expensive. Sigh. Not much visually appealing.http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/imag ... k/8781.jpg

Agreed. Not much creative power exhibited with these sets. Best of the bunch are 8777 and 8778.All these sets to me look like they put in all the leftover pieces from other sets and added a few more. I hope TLC comes to its senses pretty soon. Not only are these sets unappealing, they are too expensive.
