Instead of 10,000 polls we had recently, like the next Legend, next Classic, best set ever...

I really don't think no one can compare a castle with 700 pieces to a small catapult with less then 100 pieces.
So I divided all the classic castle sets (Ninja's no included) into sub categories as best as I can I think (hopefully I haven't forget any set).
And now I know someone will said that set really better in another sub-category, well I tried my best.

(so that message won't take forever I'll only list the numbers of the sets)

Well, I love 6080. However, 6086 is the better over-all castle

LOL, actually I wouldn't been surprised as much if you'd choose 6073 or 375/6075. But 6086...?

Anyway I guess I surprised by selecting 6044 over 6055 and 6049 over 6057.
I like 6055 but the set is all about the horses (I mean 5 horses more then any other set TLC ever made), really not much parts beside 2 black walls. On the other hand I saw 6044 as a small cart until I bought it and surprised to see how many parts it includes. As for fav. 6049 over 6057 is because 6049 is more a viking type of ship. I guess I have surprises of my own...

6086. Best stand-alone castle. If you are looking to combine several sets, I'd say 6080 is more desirable.

6038. I'm not sure I'm satisfied with any of the four-wheelers, while I like a large number of the two-wheelers.

Here are the best sets as I see them. All the sets I have selected with the exception of 6071, I have owned at one point in time. Yes all, ain't it cool.

Also all of these stes selected by me I would love to see re-released in some form wheter as a classics re-release or as a Legend. There were a few close judgements, but after careful examination of sets with parts I want these were the best.

Well I was trying to decide whether to include 6012 as small or medium. Too big for small and too little for medium I guess...

6080 Are you kidding me? What else could there be?

Best Fortress
6077 This was probably the easiest category, although I think 6073 belongs here, not in Best Castle.

Carts and Chariots - Small
1680 Wow, this was a tough choice! If I were to choose again tomorrow, my vote might change. I always loved 6022, and how could you go wrong with 6010! (A peasant and round shield). I never hada chance to purchase 601 and 6023, but those are both great as well.

Carts and Chariots - Large
6038 I have to go with the wonderful Wolfpack design. 6044 is out because of the ugly new lion design, and 6055 is just too ugly, despite the great figs. 6042 would probably be my second choice.

Seige War Machines - Small
1480 By their nature, these are all pretty weak sets. I chose 1480 because of the piece selection.

Seige War Machines - Medium
6030 I know it's not historically accurate, but I love this set!

For best accuracy I would choose 6012. (It looks like it could work).

Seige War Machines - Large
6061 Best Seige Engine hands down. This question is like asking if Coke II is better than Classic Coke.

Shops
6067 The Legend is the best, of course! I wouldn't count the wonderful 3739 as a "shop" in the Lego set sense. It deserves to win a category of it's own....

Towers and Bridges
6075 If there is a vote for anything other than this set, that voter should be nominated Gong Farmer of the Week.

Forest (trees and caves)
6066 This wonderful set started the Forestman Clan!

Ships and Boats
6057 I have to vote for the set I own 15 of.... However, all of these boats are great, with the exception of the 6037 Witch's Windship, and the 1752 Medieval Kiak.

Joust
383/6083 The new horses are better, but otherwise this is a perfect set! 1584/6060 is great as well.

I agree completely. This was like watching Episode I of Star Wars. All that build up and hype....then....complete crap.
