The Black Falcon Castle

Post by LEGO_KNIGHT »

Hi :D

This is my first attempt at building my own castle. This is a simple castle which does not resemble any real castles. It has a small gatehouse, a keep, a horse stable and an inn. Due to shortage of bricks, I had to use castle wall pieces. :(

Here are the deeplinks:

Gallery (once it becomes public)

I do feel there is still room for improvements so comments/suggestions are welcome.

Thanks. :)

Yay! First post!
Ok so here it goes...
I realy like your castle! I don't mind castle wall peices, and sometimes they can work better than normal bricks. I don't like castles that look like real castles all to much, they just arn't creative enouh. I love the small keep you have, it is real neat! also, the stable is very cool, but, Mabie I overlooked it, Is there a way for the horses to get in/out?
I don't usually rate MOC's but You'll be my first! 9.135 out of 10! Great use of peices, and very creative! I can't wait untill your next MOC comes out!

That's very neat. Am I correct in assuming that at the front we see what is basically an expanded Black Falcon's Fortress?

Thanks, Brian. I have not created a gate yet for the horse stable. This is being added to my list of improvements. :D Thanks for the rating too!

Thanks, Doc. Yes, you are correct. This castle was based on the Black Falcon Fortress. I felt that the Black Falcon Fortress is quite small compared to other faction's castle like 6080, 6090, etc. So I decided to build a bigger castle for my troops. They are a lot happier now! :D

To give your soldiers a better chance of survival, please raise your battlements by one or two bricks. The poor guys look like sitting ducks at a fairground shooting attaction. This would also improove the way the top of your towers look, they seem to be a bit 'flat' (constuctively narrow) now.

With friendly greetings, M. Moolhuysen.

Very nice. Looks like a BFF and Gaurded Inn put together and upsized. I love it. I really like the use of the corner wall pieces. I like the wall pieces and wish I had more, You get a wall and an instant window, what more could you want?

Thanks, Sir Terrance. I guess its a matter of individual preference. Some people prefer to use bricks over wall pieces.

You're complaining about brick shortages? If I took apart everything all my MOC's I'm betting I still couldn't build something like this! But, I too, prefer the wall pieces. It makes it easier to build bigger things.

I really like this castle. It looks alot like the BFF and it is expanded to include more action. I really liked the stables. Keep it up!
