Windows for houses.

Post by Sir Terrance »

Hi, I would like to know how to do some simple windows for tudor houses. I don't have any lattace windows, and and not many others. I want to make a village, and it is the windows that are stopping me. Thanks for any answers.

I use brown or grey fence/window bar things as the windows.. It looks pretty good also.

I've been using the lattice/chainlink fence pieces. I take two of them and put one above the other, and then make some sort of decorative border around them.

I also recommend the lattice fence pieces for windows. A timber framework around the window looks nice.

The open windows that Athos uses can also look nice. I used these on my recent Great Hall moc:

Skudmonky's fence/railing idea is a good one too. I used it here:

And do not forget that even regular town windows with square panes can look good. I used them on my variation of Dan Siskind's Crossroads Tavern:

Thanks alot guys. I guess I forgot that houses don't really need windows, since it is castle, and windows would probably be very expensive back then.
