Subterranean Shenanigans

Post by I Scream Clone »

Hi to all the CC members, I present my latest MOC: Subterranean Shenanigans.

I tip my hat to great builders like oo7, SlyOwl and DNL who have inspired me greatly.

I hope you approve.
Cheers

Wow! I like it very much.
I tried to build a dwarves' mine in the past but yours is much much better!
Like it a lot!

Looking nice, I like the chutes and grinding mounting. The whole scene is nicely scaled. I'm not 100% sold on the cliffs colour balance, but the waterfall is a brilliant touch!

Thanks for sharing and God Bless,

Sweet! I like the rockwork on this one... it has a more natural feel because of the different colours of grey.
Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks all,
I'm glad you all liked it.
I find the mixed rock face always raises a healthy debate between builders, some with and some against. In this case it was necessary as I couldn't have built the mountains as high with only one colour :D

I agree with Norro, the color mix throws me off a little, but then when you said:

I totally understand. Sometimes you just gotta work within your limited budget of bricks. :)

Overall though, it is a very nice MOC, taking in the scale, the scope, oh, and the waterfall works pretty nicely too. :D
I like LEGO Stuff. I have a blog called BricksABillion, a webcomic called The Brick Side, and I do some freelance artwork at Duckingham. And I am sad that there are only 24 hours in a day.

Well, dwarves are one of my favorite factions and this is certainly one of my favorite dwarven MOCs. I think think the machinery is creative, and the atmosphere of the MOC leaves me wanting more (wondering where different railways lead). The waterfall was made very well. Nicely done...
