Don't know if it's being discussed elsewhere already, but found this on Brickshelf last night and thought it looks pretty cool, definitely worth checking out :D

I actually saw this yesterday and highly enjoyed it as well.
My favorite bits are the tower roof, the entrance, and the mountain base.
All in all very well designed, and awesome looking!
If only it's creator would rise from obscurity to claim his praise!

I don't know how practical such a design would be in real life, but that is a wicked MOC. As DM said, that's a castle you'd be proud to have on your shelf. And I love the strong red overtones!

Here is his MOCpage, here is his site. There is an 'email me' link there I think if you really want to contact him. I do believe he emailed me once about a review I left him, if I've got the right guy. Nice guy too if I recall. And yes, I saw that MOC a couple days ago I think. Brilliant.

John beat me to the links. Jonathan Hunter is a member of LUGOLA, posts on Lugnet, and was one of the finalists in the Master Builder Contest at Legoland. Nice guy. Here are my pictures from a Lugola meeting last December:

I really liked his golf cart. Those vehicles were all very functional (opening doors and hoods, working steering, etc.).

Aesthetically terrific. This has an almost outrageous architectual feel to it. Very very cool.

I like it, the tower roof is very innovative and you can never go wrong with the old light grey castle with red roof slopes. I've always liked that combination. Would be nice to see it in Minifig scale though...

Another Brickshelf find!!

Hi, I am Jonathan Eric Hunter, the creator of this castle MOC. I really and truly do appreciate all of the wonderful comments on my most-recent creation.

I recently purchased a LARGE amount of used LEGO and finally have enough gray pieces to make something substantial, so a castle it is! I have ALWAYS wanted to create a large, upward and outward type of castle structure. I even ended up with several dark-gray burps (and bricks/slopes), allowing for the mountain-top setting.

It isn't even officially finished yet...

Thanks again! :D

Welcome to Classic-Castle Jonathan!

Always nice to see a new name and to have such an excellent MOC to review right off the bat. I won't say more than I did earlier, but I thought a welcome was in order.

Welcome, Jonathan! I was actually considering sending you an invitation to the forums via email be for I saw your post. :) I LOVE this MOC! It actually reminds me of Mr. Itou's (sp?) MOCs. Some of my favorite parts are the round roof and the clever use of arches and slopes. One question; why did you put a cut-back on the side of the one roof instead of just continuing the tower on up and than putting the roof on? Just wondering; I actually like the affect.
