FantasyBridge

Post by porschecm2 »

This is my latest Castle MOC, and actually, my first in awhile. It's a modification of my last Castle MOC, the Oriental Bridge. I basically just stripped the bridge down to the road level, then built it up again. Please let me know what you think! Comments and constructive criticisms welcome and wanted.

The Gallery, when public.

And a few deeplinks, here and here.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

The design looks good, but what really catches my eye is the different colouration. Its nice to see colours other than grey and black used.

Very nicely done. Good use of tan, sand green, and gray. Really, the only criticism I'd have is that I'd like to see some fig's eye views rather than just the top-down shots.

Luis, Formendacil: Thanks!

TwoTonic: Thank you. I've been having a hard time with my camera lately, or else I would have already had pics like that up. I took around 50 photos, and only the handful in the gallery turned out even decently. I'll play around a little more this afternoon or tomorrow, hopefully, and get some better ones.

Nice work, as TTK said the colours are very good and work well together (reminds me of the HP castle) I like the arch way above the gate and the antennae at the top of the columns. Good design and I like how you used the minifig bases for the road.. was that for one of the useless parts contests??

Very fantasyish. I like it a lot. A good use for those ugly pale green Harry potter pieces. Keep up the good work.

Wow, really neat! I like the combination of light gray, tan, and sand green; very nice. I also love the tower!

I always have trouble making models that fit on that size baseplate.... much less having a river running threw it! Nice scale and color.

Jon: Thanks. Yes, the original model was for the first seed part contest here, and the seed part was the minifig stand bases. You can see the original model here.

Robin Hood: Hmm..I actually rather like the sand green pieces, when used as roof and highlight pieces. I found myself wishing I had more of them.

Mr D: Thanks. The tower is my favourite part too. :D I wish I had had enough pieces free to make it about twice as tall.

lil Jon: lol, I don't have enough pieces to really do anything bigger than that, plus I like the challenge of building a model and keeping it on a small baseplate. The top of the tower actually goes over the 32x32 size by 1 stud in the back. :P Thanks.

Very nice! The Gammorean Guards really give it personality!
Great job, I can't wait to see more.

Make it twice as tall, and you would have to make it twice as wide to keep it from falling over!

Rascal_King: Thanks. I actually was running out of space to place figs on there, since I have a bunch of those Gammorean Guards. There's 12 figs on the MOC, see if you can find them all.

Sir Terrance, Luis: Thanks! :)

Mr. D: lol, it's actually a very sturdy tower, since I used these up the middle of it.
